Q:Can the "baskets" be removed one they're installed? I have a garbage disposal unit under my kitchen sink, as well as regular faucet and dishwasher plumbing, and to work on those items would be hard unless the baskets could easily be taken out.

A:  The basket can be quickly removed from the slides. When fully extended, slide the black tab located on the bottom of the slide inward for a quick release.

A:  NO. The only drawback is --The only way there coming out is to unscrew and remove. I found this out because June 21, 2018 I had a new dishwasher put in, the installer had to get at the dishwasher hose to disconnect old and reconnect new hose. I have 8 of these, good thing with under the sink it only had to come out once... It will be (10-20) years before a new dishwasher will need to be replaced.

A:  ONLY if they are unscrewed and taken out. I had to uninstall to have a new dishwasher installed.

Q:Can the baskets be "removed" to work on plumbing under the sink, such as installing a new disposal? I know you can uninstall the unit, but can the baskets themselves be quickly removed to minor plumbing?

A:  Yes, but you will have to be careful when removing it. The bottom of the baskets fit into a double fin by pressing the wire down between them. The double fin has a dimple that once the wire goes past, holds it in place. The baskets are held in place by four of these double fins. A flat blade screwdriver or putty knife will allow you to do this, but again, you will have to be careful not to damage it by releasing them one set of fins at a time.

A:  The wire baskets I have are 13 in. wide 17.75 in. deep x 9 in. high. The basket is the same on all four side with a small opening for pulling out. If you have the room these are very handy to have. I have 2 of these 6 other types they all work great. Love mine
