Q:Can this be used as an in-floor perimeter drain for a basement, to carry water to a sump? I would jack hammer a trench at the base of the basement walls, and set these in gravel/concrete.

A: Yes, this will work. Use a silicone to seal the connection area between the lengths. I would recommend using an expansion joint tape sku 50012 to allow for easy future grate removal. You would then need a multi pipe adaptor to feed into the sump? Sku 83705

A: Only one is required for each run. They are not required to join the lengths together as each length has a female end fitting on one end and male on the other and simply clip together. The convertor is required on the male end at the end of the run.
