A:  If I'm understanding correctly, you are wondering if you install the doors with the 'new' locks in place...will they interfere with your existing lock and knob. Truthfully I don't know what the clearance (if any) would be between the 2 sets of locks and knobs if both were on the right. But, I do believe that this door can be '"flipped" to where the 'new' lock and knob would be on the left....eliminating the need to buy the expensive lock you mentioned. Hope this helps.

A:  The stationary door latches to the top of the frame so when you close the operating door if is held in place. But you can open the operating door, then unlatch the stationary door and open it as well, therefore creating a two door wide opening. They work just like your exterior doors do!

A:  Yes - a clear large opening. The door frame can be mounted either way to put the dead side on the left or right. The dead side is latched with 2 pins (requires drilling into the threshold and header). With the live side open and the dead side unlatched and open, the only obstruction remaining is the perimeter frame, which in most cases is larger than the actual door opening. .
