how fine is the screen, does it keep out mosquitoes, other bugs?
Thank you for your interest in our Arcada Security Door. The Arcada has an expanded metal screen which is welded in place. The screen has diamond shaped openings which measure approximately 1/8 inch in length. It will deter most larger flying insects. I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you for your interest in our Arcada Double Security Door. Yes, this door can be installed on a block wall. You would need s masonry drill bit to create the holes for the one-way screws. We suggest you speak with an associate in the hardware section of Home Depot to ensure you are getting the proper drill bit. Please tell them you will be installing "one-way" screws into the masonry block. I hope this information is helpful.
