A: Viranda, unfortunately, we do not have any testing to suggest that these post caps would fix a Trex post. However, it is important to note that these post caps are specifically designed to fit a 4"X4" composite post.

A: Sandi, These post caps should fit firmly on the posts, but if you are concerned with them blowing off or in a high wind area, we recommend using vinyl fence cement Model # 125945.

A: Its designed to fit a common VINYL (specifically Veranda brand)4x4 post sleeve, not the wooden 4x4's sold today. It would technically fit, but extremely loosely. Look for post caps sized at 3-5/8"X3-5/8".

Q:Are these post caps paintable?

Answer This Question
A: Yes using 100% Acrylic paint. PVC vinyl expands & contracts. Not saying it would affect it. I haven’t painted mine. I do use 30 Second cleaner because in Fla it gets mildew.
by|Apr 15, 2020
A: Vinyl is a non-porous material, therefore, paint doesn’t adhere to it well. Only epoxy-based paint
will stick to vinyl over an extended period of time, but paint can damage the vinyl’s surface and
thus voids the warranty.
