Questions and Answers for Wagner Control Spray Max HVLP Sprayer

A:  The Control Spray Max can spray interior walls, depending on the paint. You want to make sure any paint you use is mixed up well and strained. You may need to thin the paint, up to 10%, make sure everything you don't want paint on is covered, make sure the room is well ventilated, and the HVAC in the house is turned off. A:  Use mine to paint the bottom of my 34' sailboat. I think it would put paint on a car not so sure about a showroom finish.

A:  I would suppose you COULD, but I would advise against it due to the amount of overspray that is produced. Also you have limited time to spray continuously, as the machine gets hot after a while and will shut off without notice and not function until it has sufficiently cooled, which can take 15 to 30 minutes-it has happened to mine.

A:  The Control Spray series are designed for thin bodied materials like stain and clear coats and sealers. Behr is among the thickest paints made and thereby not the best for spraying application.

A:  The Control Spray series is deigned for thin bodied materials, like stain. It does not work with unthinned latex paint. A:  Cabinet paint should not be just household latex paint. It's rubber and you don't want rubber on your cabinets. Acrylic is better because it's a harder finish that can provide a nice looking final coat. Polyurethane paint is best because it's a cabinet top coat that will withstand the most kitchen type use over time. For more help call us at 1-800-328-8251.

A:  Yes it can. Polyurethane will spray very well with the Control Spray Max.

A:  The Control Spray Max is meant for thin bodied materials, like stain. There are many paints, that when thinned properly, will spray just fine with the CSMax. Most paints may require 5-10% thinning, a Behr paint may require 20% or more. For more application tips call us at 1-800-328-8251.
