Like any tool, it took a little getting used to. But you have to think of the alternative-- you could also have painted by hand and all the mistakes that route takes. Good purchase!

Best $100 bucks I ever spent! Seriously.
I purchased the Wagner 350 paint sprayer to re-stain/paint our 40 year old wood deck that has a LOT of spindles, and lattice around the bottom. In the past I used a brush to paint them (spindles), but it took about 6 hours to do.
I had high hopes that this sprayer would work easier and faster, and I was not disappointed. It took about an hour 1/2 to complete.
It was easy to assemble, and clean up, and only used about 3/4 of the paint in the reservoir for all the work it covered.

Saved my bacon on a play structure overhaul
Bought this to re-stain our huge play structure. It was a big project but this sprayer made it relatively easy. All the controls are great and allow you to quickly adjust how much you’re spraying and the pattern. It would have taken 10x as long with a brush and would have been a real nightmare. I used Flood CWF-UV Natural which I also highly recommend if you want some protection for the wood but minimal color and easy cleanup.

Great results easy to operate and clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the Control Stainer 350. It is very easy to use and get great results. The sprayer is very easy to clean. I like the ease of operation also. The set up is very simple. I stained a very large deck and it came out great. The flow was even and got in to the cracks between the deck boards very well. I like the very low over spray. I also used it on a smaller project staining some outside furniture. It worked well and clean up was very easy.

Quick Draw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is primarily for stains, but used it to paint a portion of my garage. i only painted a portion because my arm was getting tired. in switched to a roller, but i used this machine to finish off the areas the roller couldn’t.
Overall this machine was easy to assemble, easy to clean.
a part of me wishes that the reservoir came as a waist mounted feature to relieve the arms from carrying the entire assembly with the paint.

Thanks for the review. The results are terrific. For larger projects, where sprayer weight becomes important, we make several sprayers with the turbine separate from the sprayer. Up North Cabin....Finished! Happy Results!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tackled a big project with this stainer....my cabin up north. I used 10 gallons of stain(applying 2 coats), one quart at a time. It took awhile, but surely saved me time from brushing or rolling the stain on. The Control Stainer350 really worked well. It applied the stain evenly and with a consistent volume. I obviously wish it had a larger capacity container or the ability to draw the stain directly from the 5 gallon pail, but it performed like a champ. The material flow control range of 1 - 12 was hard to tell the difference between the setting so I set it in the middle on 6 and moved forward. I also left the width control on narrow for the whole job.

Wagner Control Stainer 350 - Fantastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want to stain your deck and outside furniture, the Wagner Control Stainer 350 HVLP is the only way to go; it applies stains with speed and consistency and is easy to use. You can adjust the spray pattern with a quick turn of the adjustment ring, allowing you to spray from horizontal to vertical and narrow to wide, plus no mess or runs, and I barely had to mask anything, just point and spray.
It’s a great option to have when tackling any staining project, achieving an excellent finish on decks, outside furniture, fences, and many more DIY projects.
I estimate I saved at least 8 hours of painting using the Wagner; I will never again start a staining project without using the Wagner, excellent value for money
Plus, as an added bonus, the cleanup was quick and easy

Deck Sealing
