Q:Did I have to dilute the paint or can I use the paint out of the can
        by|Jul 30, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  The Flexio 5000 comes with two nozzles. The iSpray is set up for your fence, deck and walls and it will leave a roller like texture. The Detail Finish nozzle is set up for your trim, furniture and cabinets and it can leave a fine finish using thin or thinned materials. Also, there are a few things you can do to paint/stain to ensure it sprays well. 1 - Stir the paint/stain with a mixer in a drill until its creamy smooth, about 1 min per gallon 2 - Strain the paint/stain before it goes into the sprayer 3 - Add a flow agent, like Floetrol or Paint Easy (this is not a thinner) for latex paint – Penetrol for oil based 4 - Or you can thin, even as little as 5% can make a big difference, water for water based materials and mineral spirit for oil based material. Up to 20% is fine.

          Stop Brushing, Start Spraying
I've built many projects over the years from furniture to built ins. When I've painted those items, I went with a brush, and while OK, I can't say I was completly satisfied having spent so much effort in the build to only be OK with the final result. I thought about spraying, but did not like the cans, and did not want to spend money on an expensive spray system. I found several YouTube videos of pros and DIY using the Flexio 5000 and I tried it. I could not be happier with the ease of use, set up, clean up and best of all, the final product. Now I want to spray everything. I did wonder about the sticky trigger on the detail sprayer and called Wagner support. There also, I was very pleased with my call to Jeff. He talked me through a solution which got me through, and also sent a replacement. I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the spray result and this product. Highly recommend.

            Great sprayer!
I love my Flexio 5000. I bought a Home Right Super Max Finish first so I’m going to make some comparisons between them. The Flexio sprays a super nice and beautiful finish. I find the Home Right has more of a tendency to sputter paint. I use Wise Owl acrylic enamel and Behr primer. I do strain every time. I love how easy the Flexio is to clean! It seriously cleans up so fast. The Home Right is a bit of a pain and takes forever to get paint out of places! The Home Right has a top for its containers and if the Flexio has some, I can’t find them. So I wish the Flexio 5000 had container lids. I sometimes to come back later to do follow on coats of paint. I clean the nozzle piece and then put a piece is plastic wrap on the container and put the nozzle top back on to preserve the paint. The Flexio continues to spray air unless you flip the switch on the handle, not a big deal. But the Home Right stops blowing air as soon as you discontinue the trigger, which is nicer. I would like if the Flexio did the same, I accidentally blew ripples in my paint one day. I primarily use my sprayers to refinish furniture. I have not used the larger sprayer yet, just the smaller detail nozzle. However, if I have to paint a whole house again (like I did a year ago using a roller and brushes) I will definitely use my Flexio 5000.

Why did I wait so long?
I am so happy with my Wagner 5000. I had several painting projects lined up because I had procrastinated so long. I really hate painting but with this paint sprayer it was an absolute breeze! I had all of those projects knocked out in an afternoon and was looking around for anything else I could paint. It was so easy and fun I wanted to keep going.

This thing is VERY Useful! My Wagner Flexio 5000
I had been debating for a while on whether or not to purchase a power sprayer. I have some projects I needed to get done (namely a deck to repaint) and after getting a few quotes...I was definitely going to do it myself. I researched and opted to purchase the Flexio 5000. My first time using a Wagner Sprayer (or any power sprayer for that matter), I had three raised garden beds I wanted to paint. I watched a few you tube how-to's and I was setup and painting in about 20 minutes. I was able to get two coats done for each of the beds in about 2 hours. Far quicker than doing it by hand. The setup and prep was way longer than the actual process of painting. The paint sprayed well and I thought it did a great job. Now I am planning on the deck panting over the new few months. Not looking forward to it, but with this power sprayer, I know I will be done much faster. I am definitely impressed and would recommend the purchase to anyone that had similar needs. The only thing I would say is I do wish the paint canister would hold double the amount of paint. It can go quick. I purchased a few extra sprayers so I could have multiple ready for paint, to make the process easier. Other than that, absolutely worth the money to me.

                  Newbie sprayer made easy
I asked for this for Xmas and finally opened it 4 months later, afraid of how complex and messy it would be, but it wasn't at all! I watched the YouTube video to do set up and clean up. I read the directions as I went and it was VERY easy to use. I tried spraying paint first with the detailed sprayer and it was fine like a spray can. I really appreciated the practice poster that comes with it. I switched up the adjustments and saw how the dials worked better. Next I tried spraying an outdoor sealer with the larger sprayer and it sprayed way thicker so I could've probably used the fine sprayer for both. I also got the spray tent which was a great help with furniture and wind! Next up I'd like another fine sprayer so you could switch inbetween and not have to clean up one before using the other. It's lightweight too which is easy on the wrists.

Power to use undiluted latex paint
We painted our kitchen cabinets and I used the Detail nozzle. Behr Cabinet & Trim paint undiluted sprayed just fine, except to achieve the satin sheen, the Detail nozzle doesn’t put out a high enough quantity of paint for it to self level. I should have used the bigger nozzle and dialed down the paint volume. Lesson learned. Cleaning was quick and easy. Fantastic valu for the money.

                      Easy to use
This was gifted to me, used to paint my kitchen cabinets, nice even flow, I didn’t use Flowtrol in this mixture, but I should have, as Home Depot paint is super thick, I was impressed with the plastic used in the construction as i5 cleaned up real nice.

                        Very poor piece of equipment.
This sprayer just spits paint out, paint drools out of the nozzle, and it clogs up constantly. I am an experienced craftsman, and this is the worst piece of equipment I think I have ever had. It should not be sold.

                          Easy to use
I bought the Flexio 5000 about a month ago and have painted both of my Golden Oak vanities in my bathrooms. My wife is very finicky and she said they look professional!!!! It is very easy to use and cleanup is very quick. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the air control knob is very hard to turn I almost have to use pliers. I am very happy with the finish it provides.

                            Easy to use
My husband bought this sprayer for me as an anniversary gift (as requested!). My first project was two front porch rockers. They turned out great and I think the learning process for using the Flexio 5000 was fast. I'll get a lot of use out of it for other furniture painting projects as well as other household projects.
