A: Yes, I applied directly over the old laminate. It been over a year and the counter still looks great.
A: No, just used it on wood base. It is really nice and looks pretty
A: YES I/ve used this laminate it is excellent.
A: Yes I did! We used it to cover avocado green countertops until we can do a whole remodel!
A: it might work but i would not try it just put down a base of plywood and cover it with the laminate
A: I suppose it is possible, but probably not reccomended. Old laminate comes off fairly "easy" with the right tools. We had old purple laminate so I feel your pain. Or you could try some laminate paint. It looks like granite or marble. However you need to make sure you always use a thick cutting board if you paint your countertops.
A: Yes, the laminate sheet goes over the wood around your sink. It will support your sink as long as the wood you are applying the sheet to would support it.
A: The material does not support the sink, the wood counter does. This is laminate which is a thin sheet glued to to exposed sides and top of wood that is your counter. The sink will attach to the wood so if you use laminate you will only be restricted by the counter size and surrounding cabinets.

A: Yes but this is the better one
A: The corners are not round. The product is a very thin and brittle laminate. I would not recommend it for a countertop.
A: I converted an entertainment center into a bar, and used it for the bar counter top. It was rounded in the front. It was a little tricky to get a nice cut, but I was able to with my dremel tools. It turned out amazing.
A: I bough my last year and had a good experience with this product,I used for my kitchen counter easy to install under one hour , still look great. Good quality product and the corners aren't round and it is flexible.
A: No, you would need to purchase the crescent edge separately.
A: its trash peeled right up inferior glue looks cheap
A: Yes, depending on the radius. Will not do a tight 90 degree
A: Yes, I used an experienced carpenter and when cut the laminate is flexible enough to use on rounded corners. Good luck with your project.
A: The sheet is not rounded at the edges. My husband put in on the kitchen counter and rounded the edges by cutting, gluing and heating slightly to make it curve. Hope that helps. It looks awesome by the way.
A: NO the corners are not round as you shape tham any way you want.
A: There is a specific procedure for applying laminate edge banding to a rounded countertop edge. It typically involves using a belt sander to thin the edge band strip at the location where it will wrap around the corner. Sand the back of tree edge strip, but do not sand all the way through the brown substrate. You're just trying to made the laminate a little thinner so its more plyable. When gluing up, use a clamp to hold in place until the contract cement has grabbed sufficiently. The end of the strip must be a good distance from the radius so it doesn't pop off.
A: no it is not flexible. we cut up to the edge and then cut a trim piece for the front edge we found this product easy to work with and it looks great and is holding up very well
A: My husband said it depends. It is flexible for instance if only your corners are rounded it would work, however if the complete countertop is rounded it would break.
A: This will not bend around the edges without breaking. Luckily, Wilsonart solves this issue with their matching edge profiles available in several different varieties. Here is an example: Calcutta Marble Laminate Custom Crescent Edge https://www.homedepot.com/p/302567132
A: no. This laminate is very rigid and will not bend around an edge.
A: sorry to ans i would need more information sweeping turns yes sharpe bends require heat and experience
A: Our local store had little samples. But honestly this pieces was so expensive looking. We make hand made furniture. And did an entire rolling kitchen cart for an expo. And it was PERFECT.
A: Yes, a 2”x3” sample is available for purchase at Homedepot.com.
A: I did find a small sample at our local store in the kitchen countertop area. Otherwise, you can order a sample from the website. Two are shown, a 2" x 3" sample and a 3" x 5" sample for 25 cents each. The website does indicate free shipping. Keep in mind though that the sample is just a tiny area of the product and won't give a very accurate reflection of the overall look of the product. I was very pleased with the look in our application.
A: You can order the trim/edges separate.....or just laminate the top and paint the sides.
A: sq corners cut sheet w table saw and trim with router
A: I cut strips of the laminate material on my table saw. Cut them wider than necessary. Glue the edges onto the substrate, then trim it with a laminate router. If you don't have a laminate router, you can use a metal file, then sandpaper to trim the edges flush with the top. It is not very difficult, however, you need to take your time. Measure twice, cut once!
A: You can make them yourself. For square edges, cut a strip of laminate slightly larger than the edge you are forming. Pay attention to the direction of the laminate pattern and cut in the direction most pleasing to the eye. Glue laminate to edge and trim with laminate trimmer or router. Personally I think this should be done before the top is installed.
A: The edge piece was ordered separately and makes a HUGE difference in the appearance of the counter. I was skeptical, but it does look like real stone. The edge piece is easy to install (the Wilsonart website and several YouTube videos are helpful viewing) and adds a nice finished look. Very happy with our laundry room.
A: No, it’s a solid piece. You have to make the cut yourself.
A: This is one full sheet, 48" x 96". You could easily cut this out for a sink. We used sheets for our counter tops. This material cuts with a utility knife.
A: No, it's just a full sheet. I used a trim router for the sink cut out.
A: No. It is a full sheet with no cutouts.
A: No, this product does not come with a cutout. You have make cutout to fit the specific sink you're installing.
A: No it does not, too many sizes and configurations to do so.
A: No, you will have to cut the sheet to fit your needs
A: No, there are no cut outs. People use measurements, then mark where to cut, if you use an exacto knife, it is more difficult to cut because it is a hard surface coat and you would need to take extra care not to cut off your mark, yet make more than one pass very likely. However, there is a special router bit (under ten dollars), It's a small quarter inch flush cut bit - but I would recommend a flush cut router bit with a bearing - they cost a little more. The bearing is better because it won't leave marks on the finished edge. It's a Freud router bit with a bearing and I'm sure someone at Home Depot can point you to it. I hope that's somewhat helpful.
A: I would think that you could use it as a back splash. It looks really nice on my island.
A: yes
A: Yes, this product can be used for that application.
A: Yes you can, I did just that and it looks great
A: i would say yes
A: Yes, i did and it worked out great. De-grease surface with TSP, then sand existing with an orbital sander with at minimum 60 grit. There is a good youtube video on this also.
A: Yes I did. You sand it until all of the shine is gone and it is scratched up very well.
A: I used this for our kitchen, No I did not go over existing laminate. Thinking... it could go over existing, yes scuff the existing top, use contact cement. Try a sample of any scrap laminate over laminate to see what you think! Ask the pro desk associates to see what they think, call any local cabinet shop.
A: Yes, we used Contact Cement (which is recommended), the smell is awful, but doesn't last too long if you vent the air out and possibly surround plastic nearly airtight around the room so it creates a vacuum with an exhaust fan or vent hood - therbye creating a positive airflow so the toxic fumes will not spread through your house. If weather permits, scrap the plastic and open all windows. We did use a fine tooth metal file after the edges were in place. Then glue the laminate you plan to lay, with a little excess on all sides, once dry use a flush cut router bit to perfectly trim excess. Contact cement should be applied and allowed to dry on each back and the counter it's being applied to. Use contact cement user guide. We've heard some people say not to use over laminate, but we have had no issues. Once in place the edges were very lightly sanded after being routed to take off sharp edges.
A: I used this laminate sheet but I pulled out the old countertop and made a new one. It only takes a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. You can make the front piece and even use some of the wood to make a backsplash. It turned out really nice.
