it was the best purchase I made this year 2020, I love the microwave, refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher I love kitchen Aid!!

Purchased this microwave hood about 2 months ago and love it. The low profile model gives me so much more room on my stovetop, also a Kitchenaid model. Microwave functions perfectly and very easy to use. The lights are positioned toward the front giving lots of good light for the stovetop. Fan has multiple settings and works quite well.

When we shopped for Appliances we had so Many choices to make but decided on the kitchenaid lineup I’ve had a few of their products and the quality has always been great. I like the features on this microwave and even that the door opens with a touch of a button. The fan Works well, the light is super bright and the stainless steel really looks fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We expected a compact microwave to under perform our prior high-end GE Profile and took a brave chance that it wouldn't impact our needs. Well surprise, surprise, it is roomy inside, has more features and functions than our prior microwave and included a more powerful fan, brighter, variable level hood lights and charcoal filters. And did I mention that our cook-top now has 6 inches of added head room for larger pots...what a difference that makes!

Love how this microwave/hood fits. The full size one we had hung too far down over the cooktop. Would have given 5 stars but after 20 minutes of use the LED lights under the unit gave out. Very disapointing for Kitchenaid brand. One initial trouble call and two failed attempts to change out parts. Each time there is a 4 hour window that someone has to be home. They need to come a fourth time now so thats like requiring someone to wait around a long time.

We've had this microwave/hood for 7 months and it performs wonderfully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are really happy with this microwave. As a microwave, it heats everything exactly as we would expect it to. We haven't tried out all of the settings yet, but the ones we have tried work quite well. (We are a little nervous to try the "soften ice cream" setting -- we have not done this yet, but probably will in the near future. Hopefully we won't wind up with "ice cream soup.") The exhaust component works very well. Our setup is for outside venting. Getting the exhaust port to sync up with the existing ducting (from our old exhaust fan) took some ingenuity, but once it was set up, the exhaust fan does a good job. (Note: This microwave is set up differently from other over-the-range microwaves where you have to adjust the position of the blower to point "up." On this model, you instead block the "recirculation" vents a specific way, which routes the air out the top of the unit. It's very easy, actually, but we do experience some slight air leaks through those blocked vents. Not enough to make a difference, but it is noticeable. A gasket or something similar would do wonders to correct that problem.) The installation itself (outside of the ductwork mentioned above) was simple. We took our time, because we did not want to mess it up. There's a combination template/mounting bracket that comes with the unit, and it has instructions printed on it. Using that, along with the printed paper instructions and a couple of YouTube videos, we were able to determine how to install the unit. Another note: Make sure you have at least one stud on the wall behind the stove -- this unit is heavy, and you really need something solid to attach it. Finally, the only issue we had with the install was one bad machine screw that came in the package with the microwave. The end of the screw had faulty threads, and we could not get it to attach to the top of the microwave no matter how hard we tried. Luckily, we had another screw in the house that was the same size, so we were able to use it in its place. Overall, as mentioned, we are very happy with this microwave (so far). If there were one thing that would be helpful, it would be an "official" KitchenAid video with step by step instructions on the install (including venting to the outside). Hunting around on the internet to find third-party instructions was a bit of a chore, and the available videos don't show how to vent this unit outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This low profile unit provides 6 more inches of space above our range compared to our old unit which is a great help. This unit can do all the cooking we use a microwave for. Love the preset features, like soften butter. The LED lights are very bright and the fan can move the air. Realize, there is no such thing as a ‘quiet’ fan on high setting. But it is quieter than our old unit. We will use this fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought a different otr microwave for my kitchen but turned out it was too big and I needed a low profile one instead, I bought and installed this one instead and it’s been great, I love the look and features of it and it matches my other stainless steel appliances nicely!! The lights and fan for the range are really great too, nice bright lights with a dim setting and really powerful fans with 4 settings to turn them down slower. Overall it’s a really great over the range microwave and I’d buy it again!

It was also extremely important to us to buy a microwave that had an exhaust fan that actually worked. We all know most of the microwaves don’t do a great job at venting but surprise this one does! And it does it very very well. From the LED lights to the nice soft ring when something is done instead of a blaring beep, we could not be happier

We purchased this low profile microwave to replace older and bulkier microwave hood. Have owned and used for past two months and love all features. Like the cooking choice keypad inside and print shield exterior is clean and not cluttered with fingerprints. I haven’t found anything I wanted to heat or cook where capacity was a problem. Very pleased and highly recommend.

Absolutely love this microwave -- I wanted more space over my range - other family members thought it would be too small...once installed we all keep saying how we love it, love the space, works great, venting through roof and the speed of venting is better than my previous one.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We recently purchased this OTR because we only use our microwave to warm things up. So the height of the unit is perfect. It really cooks fast and evenly. The 500 CFM is great at pulling air to the outside. I was impressed at how solid the door shuts. Feels well built. I have two cons. Unless the kitchen is full of light, it is hard to see the keypad as it is not back lit. Second one is the lighting. For cooking it is awesome and the LEDs light up the cook area perfectly. I like to leave the light on at night though as a night light and the second setting doesn’t dim the light enough for us to do that. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Waiting for that part. This was a very expensive appliance and I did not buy the extra warranty as Kitchen Aid is a quality appliance. Hope it is not a lemon as it’s brand new!!!

Unfortunately it makes the rest of our appliances look a bit shabby. Now we need to get a Kitchenaid oven and fridge to match. Yikes!!!! This just became a very expensive microwave (LOL).
