This is a fine steel rod. I used it to elevate a garden sculpture. Some of the rods in the store were bent, so I needed to be careful to choose a straight one. At some point I may need to put rust reformer (from Rustoleum) on it, but for now, it is fine with nothing.

Went ahead and cut this 36" rod in half with hacksaw to get 2 X 18" rods. Went ahead and taped the cut ends as well as wrapping it further to form a better grip. Plugged in the rods into the garage spring holes and marked the depth with a sharpie to help visually when using it. Worked out great, the garage springs were no match for 18" rods:)

Cut threads into each end, added bearings and an outer shaft, built me a bicycle trailer on the cheap.

They're washers and work well

The material used to produce this rod was fairly hard and so was difficult to cut with an abrasive cutoff saw.

Pretty simple product, the thing is, it was easy to get. Home Depot came through again.

I bought two of these to make some axles for a project I am working on, but the diameter is .020 to .025 under sized. I don’t know what they will ever be good for, they will go into my scrap metal pile.

Quality, finish and straightness are good. Just wish it were made in the USA.

It is a zinc rod. It rides like a Cadillac and corners like a Porsche. I cut in two pieces and use for wind bars.

Replacement for axle on my field weed sprayer. It fits and was easy to cut to the length needed and drill holes for cotter pins. Lowest price I could find.
