The 4 in. PVC DWV 45-Degree Spigot x Hub Street Elbow is an excellent product that fits well with other fittings and also with PVC Schedule 40 Pipe. It's easy to assemble and with PVC cleaner and PVC Glue. It will last for a 'lifetime' with no corrosion or rust. Its smooth interior helps waste to move freely to the sewer or septic.

My project was building a 55 foot underground drain from my rain gutter away from my house. As the drain would follow a path that was neither straight and with an elevation drop of about seven feet, two 45 degree elbows can be put together to make any curved angle. I bought these to have on hand in case the 11¼ degree elbows (not carried by Home Depot) and 22½ degree elbows, both of which I already had on hand, wouldn't make the curved fit I needed. As it turned out I didn't need the two 45 degree elbows so I returned them to home depot for credit. I bought the fittings on a "if needed" basis as I didn't want to have to stop in the middle of the plumbing job to make a trip to Home Depot.
