Recently purchased a ceiling fan but the downrod included was too short based on my ceiling height. This worked perfectly and integrated very easily into the fan that I purchased. I had an electrician install it so I can’t speak to the installation process however the electrician had no complaints. Added a before and after photo!

The 10in Rod worked very well and was just like the 4in rods in the box with the FAN. Honestly should have been provied the 10in rod in the box without having to buy them. And would have gotten a longer one if available as our ceilings are close to 12ft. Bottom line the rods worked and were just like what came with the fan.

This was a nice solid bar. As you can see from the picture the rod is 18” long. I had difficulty getting the rod to tread into my motor treads deep enough to put the safety pin in place. I had to use some anti-seize on the threads to get the rod to go deep enough. But it was not too difficult. The top of the fan blade is now 22” from the ceiling (after installation). This worked out great to install my fan below my garage door.

The 18 inch download in Matte Black is a perfect fit for most ceiling fans that use a 3/4 inch stem. The Black color is matte, which is soft and muted, not Glossy. Be sure to choose the correct color when purchasing. The stem comes with all the pre-drilled holes that you would need for a perfect adaption to your fan system. The stem also has the holes that are required for the Ground Wire connection. The other holes are made to accept the stem pin that actually holds the fan in place. One end of the stem is threaded for use on pre-threaded fans. The threads work perfectly with a 3/4 inch download. All the finishes are smooth with no burs to catch your finger. This is a great alternative to purchasing a download from the fan manufacture which is usually over-priced. Good product that works as advertised.

Needed clearance for slope ceiling, these were exactly what I needed to hang my ceiling fans

I needed a longer downrod for my patio ceiling fan, as the angled roofline combined with the original downrod made for a very low tolerance clearance for the fanblade tips. The 18 inch Matte Black Ceiling Fan Extension Downrod was just the ticket! Other than patching in wiring extensions to accommodate the additional length, it was the perfect solution. One end even featured a threaded tip if needed.

I got this down rod for my ceiling fan in my shop and when i went to install it turns out it is the wrong size and I'm now waiting on the replacement part. I f this is right for your fan I say get it because it seems very strong and I want mine for a 15' high pitched ceiling and this would have been fine as I thought these downrods were all the same diameter.

This Crown Bolt 18 inch fan down-rod extension is a nice matte black and has features that look like it should be compatible with nearly any brand of fan. It is threaded and has a through-hole for a pin for extra security. The other end also has a through-hole and a threaded insert to easily attach the ground wire. I'll use it to hang a fan on a high, angled ceiling.

The CROWN BOLT 18 in. Matte Black Ceiling Fan Extension Down rod for tall ceilings is just what I needed. The fan came with a short 6" rod but left it too close to the ceiling for decent air flow. It also looked lost that close to the ceiling. I replaced the rod with the 18" down rod and now we have great air flow and it looks properly installed now. I recommend this product.

This Matte black Down rod is the perfect length for the pavilion that we have. We tried using the rod that came with the fan, but it was to short. color matches very good and it is 18 inches which brings the fan to about a foot and a half above our heads which creates a great breeze. The color is a matte black. It does have some weight to it so the fan is steady when it is running.

I needed a down rod to install my new ceiling fan from a 11 foot ceiling in my guest room, the Crown Bolt 18 inch down rod worked perfect to get the fan and light at the height that I wanted it. I got it in the matte black to match my fan, the color matched very good. When installing on the fan, the threads on the down rod screwed in very good and I was able to line up the pin holes with no problem. It is a quality made rod that is very durable that will not have any issues holding up a 19 pound fan for years to come.

The down rods were as expected; however, the delivery was late and arrived two days after the fans. The package was also busted open but both down rods were there.

This product met our need perfectly and was high quality.
