Not a black color at all. More bronze than anything.

My rating is for Home Depot and their poor performance. It is not for the down rod. After creating the account and placing the order, I soon discovered that Home Depot's delivery estimate was 100% unreliable. The day the order was to be delivered was missed. After the 2nd promised date was missed, I called customer service and cancelled the order. I then purchased from HD's competitor. Five days after the order was cancelled, HD shipped the order. I returned the products to HD, came home and deleted/cancelled my account. I will never place a online order with Home Depot again.

Perfect length for my new fan that I extended from the ceiling

Took too long to ship and was late. Had to return as electrician had already completed other work.

Worked exactly as described. Brush nickel color is a good match for Windward IV fans.

The down rod was perfect, just the right size

The pile ordered definitely was not brushed nickel. It had to be returned
