We purchased this retractable screen to add to French Doors on office space. The screen system has been up for less than 6 months and has already came apart at the top. Reached out to customer service and they advised to adjust the latch slightly down. Loosen the screws a bit and adjust. That’s wonderful other then now I have to pay someone to come back out and do that and fix the screen portion that is falling down. Not happy with this purchase

I bought this last year for under $400, and now at half a grand I can say it’s even MORE overpriced. Do NOT get if you have “bull in the China shop” kids or pets. Our ankle biter kept forgetting the screen was there and would jump on it to get in. Eventually a hole was made in the corner and in went to ribbons after that. Now it can’t open properly and when it’s closed there is a big gaping opening at the bottom. It’s an eyesore and no longer functions the way it’s intended.

Sizing doesnt match door sizes, had to return first one and then buy smaller. Not well supported in the middle so its pretty flimsy, and within 6 months screen has pulled out of track. Wasnt really what i wanted, but not much out there for center open french doors. But i wish i hadnt spent this much money on something that doesnt last a season

The screen door retracting thing broke after 3 month

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews. But I have to say I'm very pleased with the double screen doors. The doors slide mechanism has worked flawlessly and I haven't had any issues. I wasn't able to use the included threshold because of my shed setup but that's a minor quibble.

This is a beautiful larson screen door! Was a very simple install, looks so good. The doors open and close very well.

Unsatisfactory from the get go. Very touchy. Disintegrated within a few months. Poor design.

Install on the tall double door was not as easy as videos or instructions say. Definitely takes 2 people to install.

I installed this on a set of double French doors in my kitchen. It is a straightforward installation and not particularly difficult or time consuming but it takes two people. I had to cut down the top and bottom rails and the sill plate to fit my door opening but the instructions very clearly explain how to do it and how to determine exactly how much to cut off. I added a strip of PVC molding under the bottom rail as the threshold did not extend out far enough, So far very happy with the results. I am glad I made the purchase and would recommend this door.

the issue is when sliding the door closed the mesh begins to in-cave on itself and scrunches up. it seems to do it just about everytime i try to close the door

I am beyond disappointed with this screen door. The screen material started ripping almost immediately. I could tell as soon as we installed the screens, they were very fragile. I have two kids and I would not let them touch the screens. I was basically the only person allowed to touch the door to the backyard, which is not a desirable outcome. I handled it very gingerly and still, the screen material starts coming out of the top and bottom of the frame. Of course I didn’t get it back to the store in time to get a refund because - life. So we’re still using these ridiculous double door screens because it makes me sick to waste $300. The screen material is hanging on by threads and i’m about to duct tape it to the frame. Duct tape - it’s come to that. And I have tried to contact the company. Not helpful. Don’t buy this thing.

We bought this about two months ago when we bought our new patio door, the screen started to unravel from the frame and got worse, the glue or whatever was used was not sufficient I hope you did not spend a lot of money on engineering this product. Very disappointing! 300 is a lot of money...

Not sure why Home Depot markets this as "unbranded". "Unbranded' brings suspicions of random Chinese manufacturing. This is a Larson product. After some drama (NOT Larson's fault) regarding Home Depot marketing a 77" Jeld-Wen French door as 80", the 'short kit' screen looks and works great. The printed instructions were a little sketchy, but I worked through it pretty easily. Not a 30 minute install, but not bad at all. Looks far better than some of the one-piece screens that are out there. I'd suggest putting an extra mounting screw in the center of each vertical rail, as the kit comes with only two tiny screws on each side. It also isn't fastened to the door frame at the top, at all. I'l leave it as-is for now, but I expect that I'll be adding a screw to the center of the top rail shortly. I was skeptical after reading the description, as far as the retraction mechanism goes, but it seems well designed and sturdy for what it is. Time will tell about durability.

I originally ordered the wrong size, but completely my fault. The Brisa door was very easy to install, and had features we were not expecting, like auto-retraction, and the fact that you can move the central closure in either direction. My husband says the screen is pretty thin nylon, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up to my cats. But he's already seen instructions on how the screen can be replaced if necessary.  I would certainly buy another of these for a french or patio door.

I have had this for less than a month does not stay in track and is not even rolling up! The company should have nailed screen and not used 2 sided tape for attaching screen to roller bar!!! For what I paid not even considered cheap it was a rip off see pictures.

Great product. It does exactly what I was expecting. The instructions said it would take 30 minutes to install. Took me @ 3 hours--but it's great. Some things just weren't real clear to me in the instructions. If I had to do another one, I could do it in 30 minutes.

This screen setup is very simple and effective yet elegant in design. As other have mentions although they say its a simple process the directions were not that specific, especially when it came to orientation of stuff. However, they do also have a video on their website that was utilize to make the assemble much quicker. Although not needed, 2 people is helpful but can be done with one. I made of mistake of putting the locking mechanism side(the side that does not move until unlocked) on the swinging door side of my doors so i assumed i could take them off and flip them so i wouldn't have to disassemble the whole thing and flip the whole thing but you cant from the way its designed. so although my fault, i did took it off and flipped it and put it back and works just fine. So keep in mind that the side with the up and down locks need to be on the side where the door is also locked or permanent. Also i kind of wish the top and or bottom section of railing has a place to drill a screw through as well to hold the middle section up against the upper door jamb area or whatever material you have to hold it really secure to the jamb. then you could put a cap over that screw. but other then that it is well built. I would recommend it.

Easy install and looks great on the outside of our French doors. Had to place a thin board under their door sill, but it looks great. Highly recommend!

Received this in June and we just put it up. Watch a video because it make putting the track together so much easier. After it was together it went on the door like a breeze. It helps make the room so open and the air movement in the house is wonderful.

I have a double basement door that swings out, so I mounted this on the inside and it works really well. I had to screw some 3/4 inch pine boards to the inside of my door jamb to get it fit just right, but that was super easy. The screen retracts fine and by rolling up into the edges, the doorway isn't always blocked by a screen except when I want to leave 1/2 of it in place. It only requires four screws into the jamb to install and everything basically snaps together. It took about 15 minutes to install (no joke...that easy)

Was easy to install but longer than 1/2 hour. Had to make my own modifications to doorway to make it fit. Sill plate depth was to 2" short had to leave old one in to make work. Slidebolt on top can't reach without getting something to stand on. I'm 5'-9" can't get it. You could make it longer. Even on a standard size door this would help. Love the breeze when door is open.

Work really good

They look great and work as I had hoped. One thing though that needs to be addressed is the bottom aluminium plate provided should be as long as the length the screens can open to provide a perfect look and feel would a floor gap.

Very satisfied with our Larson Brisa retractable screen door. It opens and closes a lot smoother than the Andersen LuminAire I bought and returned. The threshold fits and looks a lot nicer than the short one the Andersen LuminAire came with. The Installations was easy without any surprises. Wish the sandstone color was available for sliding patio doors. I would definitely buy another one. Highly recommended!

The included instructions were a little hazy, especially the Step 1 direction..."assemble the components". The illustration was useless as to the orientation of the component parts... Fortunately, Larson has a video instruction on their website that was a lot more clear. Once it was installed... It looks and functions great!

I would highly recommend this product. They close so easy. They attached to the other so easily they’re very sturdy it was so easy to put up I put it up by myself. However it be nice to have someone hold one side up for you while you’re doing the other side. My dog is not broke through it which she has every other screen I have put up.... I highly recommend this product

The screen door was easy to install. It took about an hour or less. I have double French doors and it still lets you see the beauty of the doors and appreciate having them open in nice weather.

Make sure you measure your door opening before you buy it. My door height is 78" and it won't work, I ordered the correct screen and it is great. Easy to install, looks and works great
