This is a great window fan. Noise level is minimal even at high. I have a box fan in the bedroom blowing the air out and this window fan in the living room blowing the cool air in. The combination of both is great, the apartment cools down in about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this item.

This is a great little fan. It fits nicely in my window, isn't loud, and has in, out, and exchange settings for the two fans. The only thing that could improve this fan is a longer cord and adjustable vents.

I would like to say that I am satisfied with the product. I did have an issue in fixing the fan on my window as the size of the fan was a little different from the dimensions of my window. But once I had the fan installed, my experience with it was very good. This fan is useful for appartments.

These little fans are a great deal. I got these after being quite disappointed with similarly priced fans from Ace. These reverse flow with the flick of a switch. More importantly, they move air much better than the Ace fans. Was able to keep my electric bill down during a couple hot, sticky weeks here by turning these on to circulate air in the evenings. The fans have a circulate setting where one blows in and the other out, but this seems just a gimmick to me. You need more physical separation between the fans to really circulate air, otherwise you're just blowing out what you suck in. (Insert off-color joke here.)

This fan works very well. I really like the fact that it's reversible. I haven't used the thermostat feature and probably never will. Overall a pretty nice fan, now to see how long it lasts.

The fan was a disappointment from other fans owed. There is only one slide on side panel which miss-centers the fan in the window. The fan's vent are not adjustable - My previously owned one had turning vents to direct the airflow. The fan in general isn't very strong with a very almost unusable low setting.

A curved top?? All windows are straight at the bottom of the pane, where the top of the fan frame should fit in. This model is curved, for esthetics purposes and, with that, creates large gaps on either side defeating the purpose! I will be returning this product. Robin Curasco

Does what it was expected to do- move air out of a stuffy room.

Great fan for the price.

It's quiet and blows a lot of air, but ridges that lock onto your window are too narrow, so I had to cut off the back bracket thingy with a utility knife. It would also be swell if you could direct the air. Love the simple manual controls, but the thermostat is functionally just a master on/off.

I bought three of these a couple of years ago. Two are still going strong, one has one motor no longer working, but the other side is still usable. I've also had the slightly more expensive Holmes window fans, and I don't think that they are worth the extra money. I use these mostly in bedrooms, and like that there are no glowing lights to tell you that the fan is on, etc. Operation is very quiet - almost silent on low speed. There are a couple of things that could be better, though. The channel at the top of the fan, where the window sash is supposed to rest is a touch narrow. My old fashioned wooden sashes are really hard to fit into that channel. I can just about manage on some of them if I pry the arch on the fan back slightly with a screwdriver blade and then shove the sash in hard. (I just read where one customer cut the arch off at the back. I might look into that!) The other minor complaint I have with this fan is that when you set it so that one fan blows in and the other blows out, you don't get to choose which fan blows in what direction. It's automatically going to be left fan blows in/right blows out. A minor niggle for the price.

Generally a pretty good fan. Dial speed controls, quiet on low speed and can be reversed with a switch. My only complain that is that all 3 of these that I have owned sometimes start faintly "clicking" on the right side fan. They eventually stop if I bump them or turn them off for a while.

ive had my fan for well over 10 years and still runs as good as new. dont know if they still build them the same way as they did when i first bought but if they do then this will last a very long time

I would highly recommend this fan - I have not used the exhaust feature, but the intake feature does a great job of pulling in the cool night air and cooling the house off! I previously have had Holmes window fans which were good but they both died and I ran across this fan while searching for replacement fans and I'm really glad I did.

Purchase fan for a smaller size bedroom window and it cooled the room down nicely.

HDX Twin window fan has quiet operation and decent power at higher speeds. The build looks sturdy and I like the simple design. One major improvement would be multidirectional fan flow vents as this one is fixed. Overall a very good fan at a good price!

This fan works like it is a little air conditioner. I have to get up on the night to turn it off or down because my bedroom is so cold. Imaging that. Yes, yes I recommend this fan. It is also super quiet. I have 4.

We have had ours for 3 years. They work great. Use them to exhaust when the sun is hitting the bedroom, switch to draw cool air in as soon as the sun sets. Best for double hung windows.

Very happy with this fan.Well worth the price.

I love the ability to change from blowing in or out with the flip of a switch, individualizing the speed of the fans, and the exchange air feature. No more shoving a box fan in the window for me.
