I thought I could put this up alone but they will need to be painted first. They look like styrofoam. Not a good look alone for a ceiling

This will be the third home we have done with these tiles and everyone loves the look as much as we do.

Beautiful glue up tile for a chandelier, but no directions for mounting or the type of glue to use! Even on the tile info page there is nothing about what the best glue is use! Had to Google search.

These faux "tin ceiing tiles" were exactly what I wanted and were very nice indeed. I haven't installed them yet since I am not allowed on a ladder and am waiting for my friend to help me. I am looking so forward to see them up on the ceiling. I laid a few out and loved the raised detail...they look great!

I am very pleased with the service and product that I recieved from Decorative Ceiling tiles. I used them to rejuvenate the bedroom ceiling in my travel trailer. After a ceiling leak ruined the ceiling, I had to put screws in to hold the ceiling up and the tiles made it all look new again.

I may have missed it, but no where in the description did it say these tiles were flimsy styrofoam. I returned them. Not at all what I was looking for or what they were advertised to be.

Beautiful Product. Hard to trim without ripping, but got it to work!

Before you get excited about your new project, know that there is a $40.00 shipping fee. I was too excited to cancel after all my measurements and vision of my new ceiling. I do love my new ceiling however, I needed to enlist my husband’s help. He did the glue, which was very difficult to dispense due to its viscosity I assume. Anyways, all in all it went well. It took double the time and the price point was higher due to the ridiculous shipping cost. Good luck!

Not a good value. Extremely thin (hollow on the back side). Not a professional quality. To make them look decent, you must calk all of the seams and paint them, a lot of work not anticipated!

Consider painting or purchasing the tiles with paint, as they do look like styrofoam on a lower ceiling.

great concept.... love how it covered the popcorn ceilings, however the glue did not work well, had to use my glue gun for instant sticking.

I've never done anything like this, but it was easy. I purchased the glue from DCT too, although videos show putting the glue on the tile and immediately sticking it to the ceiling, I found them to unstick. So I would let the glue sit for 15-20 minutes so it becomes sticky. It also is not easy to get tiles to hold to heavy areas of joint compound, like along edges of ceiling hallway and walls. You have to add extra glue because the compound is not as porous as clean sheetrock. Also you don't want to paint prior to installing if possible. It causes the tile to warp or bend in a concave way away from the ceiling. I have not tried the tiles on some of the popcorn ceilings yet, so I am interested in starting a small job to see how that goes. New addition rooms look incredible with these tiles.

The plain white, as I ordered, leads one to believe it is primer or something of the sort of white. It is actually styrofoam shiny weird white. It would be different if it was matte or just not raw styrofoam... but it’s not. Really not worth what you have to pay for this. I wouldn’t do it again. I gave it 3 starts instead of less because old school popcorn is also styrofoam beads. Not a new concept, this doesn’t mean it’s the best though. Please at least primer these tiles before they are sold to customers. Then it could be a good thing...

My Daughter and I love this tile. I did an antique silver finish and it looks just like old tin.

I looked at the pictures of the ceiling tiles about 100 times and thought they would look nice. When they arrived on Sunday we tore open the box and they are absolutely gorgeous and we can’t wait to see them on our ceiling!!!!

Easy to put up. I bought the white ones and they look a little like Chines food boxes, but they are pretty. In the future I'll definitely paint them or buy the beautiful painted ones that the company sells.
