We live in Colorado and had an enormous historic wildfire in our county that filled our home with visible heavy smoke. At one point the smoke alarm went off. We were all coughing and had sore throats and burning eyes, and it hurt to breathe. The Alen Air Purifier filter we chose was designed for smoke and arrived almost immediately. The air was visibly better within hours after we set it up. The next morning it was raining ashes outside with extreme smoke and health warnings, but we had no symptoms and when indoors couldn’t even tell that there was smoke outside. We have run it continuously since it arrived. The machine is powerful and works hard, the indicator goes to red for awhile anytime the door is opened, but goes back to blue quickly. I don’t mind the noise it makes, even while sleeping. My daughter has the same purifier with the allergy filter for her apartment and hasn’t had an asthma attack since she got it. I was amazed when she changed the filter the first time how much the old filter had removed from the air, as it had a thick layer of dust and particles. I am very impressed with this purifier and am very grateful it arrived so quickly during this crisis. I know it protected our health.

I'm a big believer of using an air purifier and, after researching a number of other brands, Alen products are the ONLY ones I would recommend. The health benefits other reviewers describe are absolutely true, and once you use these, you won't want to be without them. If you have pets or a smoker at home, or have had mold issues, for instance, the company's customer service will help you find the machine and the filter that will work best for your needs. Changing the filter is easy, and with a lifetime warranty you can relax that you've bought a well-made product with the guarantee of always having replacement filters. You can even customize the front panel if you are trying to make the machine more of an integral part of your decor. Frankly, I haven't seen another company that even comes close to the quality, choice, and warranty that Alen offers. I don't work for the company; I just like their stuff!! Good work, Alen!

I bought one air purifier initially and have now purchased 3 more . I bought 3 FIT50 models and one larger model. I like them because there's no weird smell like you get from some purifiers when you first turn them on, and they do seem to be lessening the amount of dust in my house. I live in an older property that seems to get a lot of dust. Prior to the air purifier, I would dust in my bedroom and the next day it would look like I had not dusted for a week or two. Now, it has diminished considerably. I am excited to see how much dust it will eliminate in other areas of my home.

It has only been a few weeks since I received your product. One time it shut off on it own-I don't know what that all about.Other than that it appears to be working ok.

I have six Alen purifiers and love them all. I have some small room size and two larger ones. They have significantly improved my home and work air quality. I recently gave several to my daughter so I needed to buy another for my home. I could not be happier and they have helped keep my asthma under control.

now have 4 FIT50 air filters....all 4 going all the time. I use the VOC hepa filters ...for truly non-toxic surroundings since almost everything emits VOCs. among other hazards. I feel a lot safer with these filters and especially like the control panel which displays level of required filtration and when filters need to be changed. Now I have a sense of comfort and peace knowing the air is much safer than without the filters.

I am impressed that the Alen immediately senses when the air needs an additional boost. This happens when the front door opens, whenever I"m cooking, etc. Then the speed increases until the air is back to the lovely "normal" it is aiming for. I'm now using only one kleenex a day instead of 5-6 and I just feel as though I take a deeper, clear breath regularly. My house is noticeably less dusty. And it is very quiet on the low speed. Love it!

My husband suffers from allergies and morning congestion. I puchased two FIT50 and it has helped him tremendously. Excellent product!

It came on time, was easy to setup and has been running ever since (about 2 weeks).

They sent me the wrong filter at first, but worked swiftly to get the correct one in the mail. I love the FIT50 for my house, and really like the air quality monitor that is included. I also purchased the FLEX for my office, and love that one in that space as well. Worth it to have a little more peace of mind during these times.

I own two Alen Fit50s, one for my dusty bedroom and one for the living room/hall. They do a great job. They are quiet and powerful and work all day and night. When on Auto, the sensor is an excellent feature, as it adapts the speed immediately to any changes in the air. I've long been an Alen fan, as in 2012 I purchased two A 375s which have worked, and still work, continuously.

Just within a day my breathing became more easier. I sleep much better and I am not waking up coughing. I bought another smaller unit to take into the smaller rooms. Life is more livable. For all allergy sufferers I recommend to get a purifier.

This air purifier works great. I had it for 6 months so far. I mainly use it for my den/bedroom 12x10 on the second floor without an open window to outdoor. The room is not stuffy anymore. The lowest setting is very quiet, which I prefer to use during sleeping. The first time I thought I turned it off because the sound is so minimal. I use it about 12 hours daily. The maintenance is minimal, just wipe down the purifier exterior once a while. It looks sleek and blends with any decor. One con is if I use the higher setting during sleeping, I woke up felt the air was a little dry. The higher setting noise is noticeable, like A/C noise to a fan. Overall it gets the job done and cleans the air very well.

We have placed these in our offices and have sent ordered six more. They seem to be working and everyone is pleased.

I use it in our bedroom and it is doing the works as I expected!

I live in an area where pollen/mold is high all year round and of course I have the worst allergies. I know there are several benefits from having an air purifier and research a ton. I came to the conclusion to buy Alen. My first unit was a bust, but the team quickly got me a new one and I haven't had problems since! I would say I would like to know if there was a test I could have done before and after to show the difference but I feel as though my allergies are definitely better!

This is my second Alen air purifier. I love this brand. I have tried multiple air purifiers and this far exceeds the others. Even in high mode it is rather quiet. Great function and easy to use. The filters last a long time. The sleek appearance is nice and it blends in with the room without looking odd. It has worked wonders for my asthma.

Fabulous design. Auto sensors regulate the fan with a color coded light that defines the mode the fan is in. More importantly is the quality of air. Cat suffers from allergies as well as my self and wife. I can’t believe the difference it has made for all of us. Great purchase.

Works absolutely great. Now fresh air and no allergens

I have been suffering from allergies and asthma for many years, couldn't sleep well at night but after purchasing the " BreatheSmart Fit 50 I have been sleeping like a baby. I have used air purifiers before but this one is the best. I highly recommend it!

I am finding many benefits in using my air purifier in my home on a daily basis. I wish I had gotten one sooner! It is not as quiet as I hoped when it runs on Turbo level, so I turn it off when I sleep at night. But, it is very pleasing to the eye, unobtrusive, and is the perfect size for my home. I highly recommend you at least try it. I have found other less expensive air purifiers online, but ALEN has a strong reputation in the reviews I perused online.

I keep it on Automatic and it does a fantastic job of producing clean air. Highly recommended.

I bought this air purifier after seeing one at a relative's house and noting how good it was. This purifier's best quality is probably the sensor that shows you how clean your air is, and adjusts the purifying strength accordingly. That way you can be sure that you're not wasting energy filtering on Turbo speed when your air is actually already clean! It seems very reliable, as my relative has been running hers for a year now, and mine hasn't had any issues either in the last 2 weeks. The user interface is really easy to learn, and I love that there is an option to turn the lights off, so I can sleep better with it in my bedroom. It has a stylish look; I've seen both the white and the black in person, and both are nice. If I ever need another air filter, I'll definitely get one of these.

Complete game changer for spring allergy season! And cooking smells! Put it on auto mode and it really csn tell whe you leave the door open too long. Or are cooking and producing fumes and odors. I love how much fresher the sir feels and how much better I sleep

It is way too early to write a review. However - easy set-up, much appreciated. Easy to use. Impact on sleep not yet evaluated fully. Allergies less, but also pollen count is lower, so who knows.

We really like our fit50. We can tell the difference in our air quality.
