It’s a great toilet! Easy to install. The instructions are detailed and clear. You can do it without any tools. I like the 10 inch rough in because the tank actually stands away from the wall. The soft close lid was cheap plastic so we upgraded to better one and changed the handle out because my wife didn’t like the pointed end on the original. AS makes a great product that you can trust. We look forward to many years of carefree throne sitting

This toilet includes everything you need to do the installation including the tools, parts, toilet seat and wax ring. The installation is very straight forward and went smoothly. Just had a small wobble. I added one of the extra plastic washers at the base for now. I will need to get some shims in the near future. The handle takes a bit of effort to flush. The bowl cleans adequately, but sometimes you need a second flush. The refill is quiet, but the flush is not that quiet.

It is impossible to attach the water supply to the tank because of inadequate room to attach to the tank. Could be that the tank and bottom don't belong together I had to trim off the twist notches on the water supply line to finally get it to screw on. We also live 80 miles from Store local hardware on sold the lines that size with the tabs.

I see a lot of complaints about this toilet. I have learned that you have to take some reviews with a grain of salt. I'm sure Kohler makes a nicer toilet, but for 3 times the price. Installed myself. Only issue was mounting the tank. Had to readjust three times, but finally got it. It has to sit on there perfectly to line up. My older toilet sat flush against the wall. This took care of that problem. It flushes quite nicely and am very pleased with this product.

The bowl on the original one cracked. It was the same brand and model. This one was available at the local store. Be sure to register to activate the warranty!

Perfect option for a 10" rough in application. Practically everything you need to install this toilet is included and any do it yourselfer shouldn't have any issues with the installation.

I misfigured putting in my plumbing and I only had a 9" rough in. Another review had the same issue and said it worked for them. I tried it, and it worked out perfect. It is tight against the wall, only an 1/8" of gap between it and the wall.

I had a 30 YO TOTO one piece that needed to be replaced. Measured 11 and 11.5 inch clear to base trim at wainscoting. This AS 10 inch rough was the only in store option. I used the adjustable bolts and wedge shims. Toilet fit great and was easy to install. The flush is a simple old style mechanical that needs to be “held” at the low point for that fraction of a second to get a full flush. Not as engineered or as attractive as a Kohler. Be careful as the outlet is at the same plane as the bowl feet that touch the floor.

For those who have an 9” rough-in look no more! The compact design of the water tank sits flush with the back of the toilet so it would leave about 1” gap between the tank and the wall. Thus a 9” rough-in puts the water tank flush against the wall. The lower neck of the toilet will also rest against the wall too. If you have higher than normal wall trim/molding it may not fit as the neck sits just higher than the bottom wall molding. I researched high and low and decided to take gamble on this one and it worked!! Please buy the extra thick wax ring so you assure a good seal. Laslty, this is a elongated model so much better than the round models. Good luck!!

I was finishing my basement and never checked the rough in till time to set the toilet. Mistake I know. This toilet saved the day on my 9.25 inch rough in! Still have a 1/4 inch to the wall. So if you get caught in a jam or have an older house then this is the toilet for you!

Like that most everything needed to install was in the box. Perhaps only slight negative is that the seat/cover feels a little on the flimsy side. Like that it is soft close though.

The 10" rough-in fits nicely in my older home bathroom. A nice upgraded look from my 1966 toilet. Flushes much more efficiently and uses less water too. Absolutely am pleased with this product. I did have it professionally installed to insure that the flange was properly secured to the floor (it was not when I removed the old toilet) and that the toilet was level to the floor without using shims.

The slow close seat is great. No slamming down and waking your spouse! I hope it stays that way with age.... The flushing is quiet, and uses way less water than our old commode. We got this commode originally because we needed one with a different rough in than the original. We like it.

Good toilet, the low flush is something different but it’s a strong flush. Seems to require less cleaning.

I hate that you have to hold the handle down for the toilet to flush all the way. The other two toilets in my house I push to handel down and forget it. With this one I have to make a conscientious effort to stand there and hold the handle down for the toilet to flush all the way. I often forget and have to wait for the tank to refill and do it again. I wish I would have brought one of the other toilets on display.

This is a horribly designed toilet. I bought this because it was the only 10” rough in toilet Home Depot has for sale. The tank is so small that the float cip and the water level adjustment rod rubs against the sides of the tank. This has given me issues with the tank not filling up after a flush or the water constantly running because the float cup gets caught on the side of the tank and doesn’t raise up and turn off the water. I had to put a spacer between the fill valve and the side of the tank to get the float cupto somewhat work I also have to hold down the handle for 5 seconds for it to actually flush.

toilet was easy to assemble, height just right for my knees.

Fits my 10in rough in. Only toilet I could find in 10in. Bowl refills with a nice pool of water. tank empties quick during flush. our double flushing days are over. I liked it so much I bought two of the 12in version. almost forgot. the toilet set is comfortable and works as advertised. Great Product!

I may have to return this toilet. It is impossible to attach the water supply to the tank because of inadequate room to attach to the tank. Could be that the tank and bottom don't belong together. My installer is trying to modify the supply attachment to make it fit. If he is unsuccessful, I will return it and get a different brand.

I purchased this toilet and was very pleased with the ease of installation and its operation. But after about a month a crack had formed at the front of the bowl. I brought it back and purchased the same model again but it doesn't flush as nice as the first one. Overall it works well but not happy about having to install it twice because of the crack.

The toilet tank developed a hairline crack in the tank within the first two years. This crack one day just appeared. It starts at the handle, and goes all the way to the midway down the tank. Thank goodness it was just a hairline crack, and it did not leak all over my house. I contacted the company and they do NOT stand by their product. If not for the crack, and the companies lack of customer service, I would have recommended this toilet.

Installed the toilet (including caulking to the floor) only to find the bowl (weir) had a crack that was only visible if you turned the toilet upside down. Removed the toilet returned it only to have to drive an hour to find a store with the same model. The leaking toilet was clearly marked "Made in China" whereas the replacement is marked "Made in Mexico" an oxymoron for a company named American Standard. Hoping the replacement doesn't leak, needed the 10" rough in.

Spectacular toilet for a great price. Install went smoothly though the base is quite heavy - had to have a strong guy get it up the stairs - but that's normal for any toilet, they are heavy. The slow-close seat is great but I worry someone will force it close and break the mechanism, time will tell. The height is awesome, great for people with back issues or the elderly and frankly looks nicer. I went from a small toilet with a round seat to this elongated high toilet and was worried it would take up more space...it really doesn't, in fact the base and especially the water tank is so much smaller than my old toilet. I'm confident it will signficantly save on water use with such a small tank. It's so quiet, too. Highly recommend.

it was pre-assembled it was fast to install it took me 15 minutes to install it look good and works great what else can you ask for

This is the quietest and fastest flushing toilet we ever saw. We purchased the rough in after realizing our remodeling job had taken up wall space when adding Sheetrock and tile. This beautiful elongated toilet adds beauty to our newly remodel bathroom. If fact we often commit on feeling like we r in a luxury hotel.

I actually wanted a Champion 4 with 1.6 gallon pressure assist, but I needed a 10” rough-in, so I went with this more efficient and quieter toilet. Installation was quick and easy. Everything needed is in the box.

American Standard Toilet Flush was easy to install with the provided hardware. Performance of the flush was satisfactory as compared to similar products in the market. Will recommend others to buy American Standard products.

Just installed this toilet about a hour ago. Only negative is the water fill connection. It is way too close to the lower portion. Very difficult to tighten it up. Other than that, it’s great.
