Great door especially for the price. Took a little longer than it should have since a few of the pre-drilled holes did not align. Very happy with my purchase and the dogs love to lay in front of the door and catch some sun.

Purchased the 2000 series storm door in March 2024. Chose the Bronze color that was a special order. Storm door installed by Home Depot contractor. The door looks good but made with cheap materials. Too much plastic and light weight that was not expected. Chose the door because had a lock and called a storm door. Disappointed in the lack of quality/sturdy materials. Older door that had to be replaced were sturdier but had no locks. New is not better due to cheap materials.

All necessary hardware was included in box, items well made in USA. Directions were easy to understand. Took me 5 hours roughly to install as I had never installed one of these storm doors. I installed the closer on top to have more room on the bottom. Online videos were a big help. My wife and dog loves the door!

I like the sturdiness of the door. I dislike the fact that they don’t offer keyed alike lock when multiple doors are ordered for the same house.

The door is great but some parts were missing

I am a contractor and bought this door for my own house. I am familiar with putting things together for clients. I am impressed with everything about this storm door. I bought the full glass and will not be using the screen so I don't know anything about changing out the glass for the screen. The instructions were excellent. They are in color and if you take the time to read them you will find everything you need to know contained within. It is obvious it was checked and rechecked, there was no confusing mistakes. The small parts like screws etc are packaged in colored bags. Here are some tips and observations. My backdoor is one I bought from Home Depo years ago and has the standard brickmold that most doors have, brickmold is another name for the trim on the door that your siding butts into, this storm door is made to fit it perfectly. If your door has a different kind of door trim you will have to check that it will work. If your door trim looks like the trim of the doors that Home Depo or Lowe sells then your good for sure. Organize the parts on a table and don't mix them. When you open the colored bags put those parts back on top of the colored bags because the instructions will tell you to use parts from those bags which is very helpful. Start reading instructions from the very beginning, don't skip any. Read each line until you understand exactly what it is saying, when you do move on. Dry fit the parts before you screw anything, then go back to the instructions and verify you are doing what they say. Like I said everything is in the instructions, just take the time to read them and you will be ok. You really should have both a drill and an impact driver. Use the drill bit provided to pre drill every hole, the bit works for all the holes you need to predrill. While you can screw in screws with a drill and a phillips bit they don't work well compared to a drill driver. A drill will often strip the screw head. Do yourself a favor and buy a drill driver, you won't regret it. On future projects once you have a drill driver buy Torx head screws and you will never have to predrill holes. When screwing in the screws into metal I use the drill driver to get the screw close to tight and then use a standard screw driver to tighten it just right. You don't want to strip the hole with the drill driver by over tightening. The aluminum that you are screwing into holds the screws great but if you over tighten the screw it can strip the hole and then it won't hold at all. The only thing not mentioned in the instruction is you might need a hacksaw or cut off wheel on a grinder if you want to be picky. I cut an 1/8 inch off latch side hinge rail because my door wasn't level to start with, not storm doors fault and it would have worked fine if I hadn't done it. The door works perfectly, the lock feels secure and the closer works like should. I was impressed with the quality of everything. I was going to get the 3000 but this 2000 is all i need. I have read many of the reviews and complaints, I didn't see any problems that some people complained about. The biggest problem with storm doors is if you leave them open and the wind picks up. I have seen wind blow out the hinges. Older screen doors use to come with a chain and spring to help prevent that but not sure if I would put one on. If i wanted a door with a screen I would buy one where I didn't have to take out the glass. This glass is big, not sure I would want to mess with trying to get it out every year.

Good looking light weight easy to install storm door. This was my first time installing a storm door so it took me much longer than 2 hr but both me and my wife were so happy when it finally was installed. We have been wanting a storm door for so long and I just found this one perfect for my front door. I love the look of it and when the bright warm sunlight comes through the full glass in this cold weather it feels so good. I will recommend this door to all my friends and family and even folks I don’t know. Just go for it if you are looking for a nice door which is not so expensive and easy to install by yourself.

Installation fairly simple. Lack of predrolled holes required lots of drilling into product. Door is our second one and visibility and usability is great.
