This is poor quality having to do so much rigging to get it to work. May package up and send back. I will have couple hundred more dollars in it by the time I get it in place with additional wood needed to make it fit and hiring labor to install.

Love the product! HOWEVER THE DIRECTIONS ARE HORRIBLE TO DECIPHER

Bought two of these May 2021. One, seldom used, yesterday literally "exploded" the plastic parts at top that retract the screen and is now useless. The other, I walked through the screen one time rendering it absolutely useless, it will no longer retract. I'm willing to pay $1800 per door for Phantom Screens at this point, I know they are good quality, had on a previous home, but I have four doors and was hoping Andersen would work. I was sadly mistaken, they are junk.

Works great and slides smoothly. Took a bit to set it up but the video was very helpful. Mostly metal parts but there is a plastic part at the top and bottom of each side that holds it all together. They warn to be careful since that part can easily break, which it did. We had to MacGyver a support piece to get it to work but if you need to replace that part, it costs $40. My only suggestion to the company would to make that part metal as well.

As I tried to install, the ramp for my mother’s walker was in the way. Putting it to one side to remove the ramp, a breeze took and broke. Plus it won’t work for a handicap modification.

The written assembly directions were a little difficult to understand having never installed one of these before. Thankfully, the video was a big help in assembling the screen door.

The doors look g8! I wld have liked them truly invisible or the option of closing just 1 door but i guess this is the best option so far.

Good quality screen retractable.. A bit challenging for one person to do! Directions are a bit hard to follow. Overall a very good screen...great price frpm Home Depot!

Very poor quality product. I called Andersen regarding this 6' retractable exterior screen door. They asked me to send send them a video to show the issues with the product. I sent them the video and got no reply from Andersen. I am not surprised that they are not offering a solution. I also went to Home Depot to express my dissatisfaction with the product. Home Depot's response was to return the door for a refund. That was not an acceptable response since the door is already installed. If I remove the door then I am left with a 6' opening in my screened lanai allowing bugs, camelions, frogs, snakes and other critters to enter my porch area. I considered that a smug response. So, now I am left with door that is junk after investing about 7 to 8 hundred dollars in this project.

I bought these retractable screens to go on the inside of a set of outward-opening French doors. They work for this, but there's a couple of things about installing them that are not ideal. First, the listing says nothing about interior or exterior install. When you come to put them together, though, you will discover that the "lock" tab for the screens is positioned for an exterior installation and there is no readily apparent way to swap it over. However, if you don't care about that (which we don't) it's a minor issue. A more important issue is that the top and bottom rails do not snap or latch into the side assemblies in any way. They slide freely in, and slide freely out, and that's that. This makes it needlessly difficult to hold the assembly together while you raise it into position and try to screw it into place, as the rails try to slip out of engagement. A latch or a clamping screw or something of the kind would work wonders to simplify installation. The last minor issue is that it's easy to overlook the really rather important detail of adjusting the top and bottom guide pins on the static side. This is a bit problematic because it's hard to tell when you have the sliding latch stops in the rails in the right place until the guide pins are properly adjusted, and hard to be sure the guide pins are properly adjusted until you have the latch stops in the correct spots. It's fiddly, but with care you can get it done. Once all is done, though, you end up with a very tidy screen installation that lets you easily open one or both sides as you wish. (Make sure you correctly match up the static side of the *screen* with your static *door*.) Before this, we tried an inexpensive magnetic-sealing cloth screen, and it was aggravating, frustrating, easily ripped, and didn't even keep the cat in — she'd just push her way through the seam in the middle as though it was a curtain, barely even slowing down on her way through. The Luminaire retractable screen, though, seems to parse as DOOR to her instead of as CURTAIN, and keeps her in. She hasn't even really attempted to try to get through it, which is exactly what we wanted.

Now that i have the screen installed it seems fine. The instru tions however are dismal and i had to read many times and keep them near as i assembled the unit It required some disassembly and reassembly before final installation. Even now it needs lots of adjustment. I also dont know yet how this will work over time. Other reviews are not encouraging. The jury is still out.

Totally unacceptable. I am going to have it removed. Waste of money.

Very easy to install and you do need 2 people to install.

Easy to install. Nice looking screen doors when installed. Keeps air flowing and bugs out. My wife love these doors.

One side of the door keeps sticking at the top. It has been fixed twice, but it has stuck again. Were it not for this big problem, we would be happy with it.

They are cheaply made especially the screens.. I don't think they will last a lot nd time

This screen door was great quality for the price. Assembly instructions were clear and it’s functioning as expected.

Most doors you would put a screen door on would be a 36” size. They include a 32” sill adapter so you’ll have to order the 36” sill adapter at $20. They do call for 1/4” for expansion and contraction. The drip holes are in the tracks. I can’t comment on longevity because I have just installed 3 recently. Paintable caulk on the top and silicone on the sill adapter. Pretty easy install.

CHEAP plastic material, broke part of frame first time someone lightly ran into door. Fixed it with super glue, for about a week. Do not buy this screen door. A total wasteof money. Anderson products used to be high quality, Not any more.

I think these screens are awesome. I’ve installed 2 double doors & 1 single.

Instructions were easy to understand, and assembly went smoothly. I was able to modify it to my opening without any problems.

This would be an excellent rating except for the instructions. The video was also perfect conditions also. My opening was smaller and had to be cut. I called the company for directions about the cut and got someone that had to put me on hold for answers. I finally just did it myself as my question was never answered. Had to use tools other than what they said you needed. Installed and it works good. Can't wait for cooler weather so we can use it.
