Nice set of screen doors for a French Door and super Happy they had it in bronze. Some of the pieces were broken but did not affect install on our log home. Just wondering how you would change the screen door once it gets worn out. Highly recommend! Fast shipping!!

Ordered 2 and both were broken, made of plastic so not sturdy at all.

multiple issues first door sent had to be returned and second had broken handle replaced by Anderson company. Many plastic parts I expected more from an Anderson product. Install took longer than 30 min as stated. Delivery person rough with item threw it toward my porch box broke open both times.

We ordered 2 of these and both came broken out of the package. It definitely seemed like a packaging issue and the manufacturer should address this.

The only reason for the low score is that the dimensions shown on the HD website are not accurate! After waiting to receive it by delivery- it wouldn't fit. It is taller than your specs say.

there have been problems I ordered a screen door kit and there were several broken parts so I returned it and ordered a second it also had problems broken parts and not aliened frame, both sides uneven. I had to contact a general contractor and we have made adjustments, There are a lot of plastic parts and I would have expected a better product from Anderson. Not a satisfied customer.

The product is very nice. I will definitely purchase again.

I have it installed and it works as advertised. My main problem is that it is very lightly built and a plastic part was broken when unpacked. (I may have caused this so I can’t complain.) Not easy for a single person to install.

I was hoping to be able to install this screen, but a couple of things lead into me not being able to use it. First, upon opening there was damage to the metal casing around the screen. Second, the measurements did not account for the threshold across the bottom of the screen. I was unable to install so it was returned.

The installation was easy. The door and screens overall look very nice. My only concern is that there’s no center stabilization/installation point, so if someone runs into the door, the whole frame pushes out.

This is the 2nd retractable screen I've put in. The first was a single, the 2nd (this one), is a double. My wife didn't like looking thru screens all the time and they were due to be replaced anyway. These screens were not made for sliding doors, which we have, but I did a little construction around the doors and the screens work very well. And, my wife (and I - LOL), love them. I hope they hold up, but the fact is they're normally rolled up and inside the container. So no weatrher issues.

Very flimsy. Easy to install, but not very durable.

I purchased one earlier and liked it so much that I decided to install one in another door. Assembly was simple, but you have to be careful not to assemble backwards because you view it from the inside, not outside when assemblying. The door is very sturdy and looks grea.

Damaged Parts in Shipping. Had to reorder several times and never got the right part. Homeowner said taking to long to get parts, so decided not to install door. Anderson said to take to Home Depot for return.

The french-door style screen is very attractive, but seems pretty fragile. I would not recommend it to anyone with children or pets. I wonder how many seasons it will hold up, but at under $400 I chose this over a set of steel doors installed at near $6,000. The screening material is quite transparent, which looks good, but I imagine one careless arm stepping into it would rip it from its base. The bottom frame is 1" high of fairly thin aluminum. Again, I bet one errant toe or heel kick would dent it out of shape. I attached a 1x2 to it with sealant for support. Assembly went well once I viewed the online video. Andersen made great effort to explain things in the Installation Guide, but I was confused until seeing the video. After assembling one, doing it again will be a breeze, which it appears I have to do. The Passive side won't click in properly. I called the very helpful staff at Andersen and they are replacing it. So, I'll have to cut out all the sealant, dis-assemble and re-install everything.

Difficult to assemble, flimsy screen and subpar framing material.

Great product. Fits my french doors well. We've been using it for about a month now. The only addition would be to reinforce the bottom so pets can't manipulate the screen loose & escape.

Worked out perfectly and as expected, only wish it were a couple inches wider, but overall, it turned out amazing, and the key ingredient was a professional installer.

The door is so pretty and it was ‘fairly’ easy to assemble, i put in one of the stoppers backwards and had to take back apart and fix it so the passive door would stick, and the screens are not hooked into the frame so my cat figured out how to push it out and slither under. Also, the frame screws into the doorway on the sides and corners, but not on the top or bottom, so I put some heavy duty double sided tape between the top of the frame and the arch, it seemed a little flimsy but is great now.

It was easy to install, not as difficult as instruction look. The stop block could have been explained better on which way it faces, lock towards passive side but overall it was a good install. Lightweight and flexible so two person carry is required to hold in place. I installed five. After the first one, the rest was a breeze. Adds an elegance to the porch look. Screen is so clear that it appears that the door was left open. I love it! Hoping it will last a long time. Installed it about 2 weeks ago. Delivery was way sooner than estimated!

Easy to assemble and it works great. Smooth slide. Holds one side closed for easy in and out, opens full length when needed.

I ordered 3 sets for double french doors: (1) 2x were for 72" inward opening doors and (2) 1x for 60" outward opening doors. Overall I paid about $400 for each door and installation was rather simple. The quality of the screen is not too tight and can disengage but rolling it into housing seems to reseat it. I recommend operating slowly with two hands. I looked into Phantom screens which is much better quality but they quoted me $1200 each installed! So for the value I think its a better deal just treat it carefully. Concern is if I need to repair the screen. 1. The passive side stops about 1 inch when rolling out the screen and I'd have to wiggle it up and down to fully pull out the screen. Examining it I notice that the end of the center rails have a curve that doesn't reach all the way and there's a slight drop height difference between the rod and the passive screen housing. Per instructions the extender is used for over 70." I tried with and without extender and there's no difference. 2. For 60" opening I followed appendix A to cut the passive side of center rails. The passive screen slides smoothly as there isn't the height difference since I cut off the curved ends. Because this is designed to be opened from the inside, the passive side lever is facing outside between the outward facing doors. I called CS and they couldn't suggest a way to reverse this. But it's a minor deal to reach around to release the passive screen.
