Beautiful and sleek, modern mailbox. Exactly the look we were going for.

When I unboxed this one of my first thoughts was the metal was on the thin side. We had been having issues with mail theft on our rural road so we thought we would try this. Within 2 weeks I walked out to get my mail and see what I think is the locking door open. As I got closer not only is the bottom open and the mail is gone, the the entire locking door had been ripped off and was gone. I saw some scape/ pry marks on one side. Apparently they stuck some sort of tool in it, broke open and then ripped the door off. After looking at our security video they did this pretty easily, within 30 seconds. I guess this will keep honest people honest but most definitely will not keep criminals out. Now I have over $90 including the address stickers into a locking mailbox with not lock.

Well constructed, need to adjust lock arm to make door a little tighter. Just mounted 1-9 so will have to see how it works out.

The Oasis-Eclipse mailbox is a large and sturdy product that is made to protect your mail. The metal has a pleasant dark grey powder coated finish with silver flecks. The metal is sturdy enough to stand up to the most common abuses mailboxes receive. The slot is made to accept items up to 8.1/2” wide and about 1-¾" tall. The mail drops into a chamber that has a key lock. The storage chamber can hold a pile of mail about 7” tall by 10” wide and 14” deep due to the security combs location. There are sturdy clips on the inside of the door to hold outgoing envelopes.

We live fairly rural area, with the mailbox a half mile from our home - the farthest our post office delivers from their central location. Our current mailbox allows for only very small packages, and I had hopes that this new one would eliminate some of the required drives way into town. Unfortunately, despite its overall large size and volume, the openings don't really allow for packages any larger than our current box can handle. Thus, I will not be installing this. The hassle of dealing with a key - where we won't really be gaining anything with this unit - is a part of that decision. The thinner-than-I'd-like sheet metal is another part. The mailbox did arrive without damage, despite just being shipped in its store shelf display box.

This large size mailbox is perfect for country living or for a family that does not check their mail daily. The mailbox arrived without any damage. This was amazing considering there was absolutely no protective packaging for the product. I realized once the box was out of it's packaging, this was going to be easy to install or replace as my new mailbox. You can order the attachment for the 4x4 post mounting or you can simply measure the underneath insert of the mailbox and cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to fit snug onto the bottom of the box. I attached the plywood to my existing post then used large bolts to mount the box to the plywood. The box can only be removed from the plywood inside of the mailbox. I love the magnetic mail insert door because my mail person always had a problem with completely closing my old box. Problem solved with this feature. The locking feature of the mail retrieval door is another great feature on this mailbox. This is a great piece of mind if you have a second home as a weekend get-a-way. You're mail is safe until you arrive. The construction of the mailbox is very heavy duty and made to last. Now my one complaint about the box. The flag is not red. It is silver which is a little more difficult to see against the brown color of the mailbox.

Mail must go on safe and with style. I mean this is a very good large capacity mailbox with secure key lock. Made out galvanized steel and is designed for post mount. This mailbox is weather tight in black and red mail to be picked up flag. Outgoing mail goes in clip in box opening. I have priced mail boxes for what they are but this locking mailbox is the way to go in all respects I think.

The Oasis Eclipse parcel locking mailbox is designed with a hopper door to accept mail and an anti-fishing security. The mailbox is sturdy and made with galvanized steel and is fully powder coated inside and out for durability and corrosion resistance. With its cast aluminum handle, powder coated galvanized steel flag and heavy-duty reinforced locking mechanism, this design is built to last. The mailbox is large and not standard size and a key is used to open and retrieve mail which can be cumbersome.

I will be using this features-plus mailbox to replace an existing standard quality box that is many years old and has seen better days. With the design of this box, you have the option of installing it on a round or square post or attached to a horizontal mount that sticks out from a post in order to get the box at the right height off the ground with the post set back further from the road. It's made of good quality steel, heavy gauge and powder coated to resist rust. The silver flag for signaling outgoing mail is also of a heavier gauge of steel. There's plenty of room inside the box where mail is securely held after being delivered. The door for the mail carrier is held closed by a strong magnet and inside the door are two strong clips to hold any outgoing mail you want picked up. The mailbox in this style is also available in black at the same price and in pewter at a significantly lower price. All three models have the same features and are the same size and weight. So, if you want to save some money, you can get this in pewter. Both the black and the pewter mailboxes feature a red flag while this rubbed bronze model uses a silver flag. You can buy a mounting bracket that's designed for this mailbox or you can fashion a substitute from some "one by" or "two by" wood and custom make your mount according to the post and setup you currently have.

Large and Secure Mailbox. The construction is very solid seems to be very safe with anti theft construction. We set a new decorative post and the installation was relatively easy. As you can see from the photos it is a nice looking box that provides the space we need and the safety we are looking for. The instructions say; to use a specific brand of post but they didn't have it at our local HD store so we were able to use the standard ones they carry.

Size wise, it's very roomy, and the security comb makes it unlikely thieves will be able to "fish" letters or packages out. Note, however, you must purchase mounting hardware separately Personal experience with missing mail led to ordering this product. If you've had a mail-theft issue, this key-access mailbox may be a solution. If not, there's just one more darn key to manage. Quality control Issues - the mailbox was securely wrapped, with no damage to the box, yet the top surface and front edge irregularities looked like it was inspected, failed and a repair was attempted (minor re-paint effort) before shipping.

The Oasis parcel mailbox is a much better box than your standard post mount box. This item is heavy duty. The finish is really nice. It is quite a bit heavier than a standard box so you have to make sure the post is adequate to hold it firmly in place. The box comes completely assembled and is pre-drilled for mounting holes. Only requires 4 bolts to secure the base to your post. The locking parcel door is big enough for small parcels like bubble wrap envelopes or a thin box. You'll have to get used to having to use a key to get your mail, but you'll love the security of this box anyway.

Great security for your mail and small packages. The opening will accept large envelopes and thin packages. This box will give you security that others will not. The lock at the bottom on the front is very convenient when checking mail. Front top door is magnetic and will be held closed is case of wind or storms. You can clip outgoing mail inside the top door so that it can't be missed by the carrier for outgoing. Nice easy operating red flag to notify carrier that you have outgoing mail also. Great box. Recommend.

First and for most let me start by saying that you were going to need the mounting bracket to mount this mailbox if the one you are replacing is the standard type of mailbox mounted on a wooden post. You are also going to want to measure the width of that post to make sure that the bracket is going to fit. If it is over three and three-quarter inches wide, it’s not going to work for you. As for the mailbox itself, this is probably the best secured mailbox I have run across so far. It’s a heavy duty metal and is constructed in a way that does not allow someone to insert a crowbar, screwdriver or any other tool in it to pry the door open. This seems to be the usual flaw with most secure mailboxes. The mail slot is wide enough to slide in the mail and even small packages but not wide enough for someone to be able to reach inside to get the contents. If you do put your hand inside, you’ll feel small teeth running a crossed the inside at the bottom of the slot. This will also be a deterrent to mail thieves. The box itself measures 11 inches wide by 18 inches long and 11 inches high. Large enough to hold bulk mail and even small packages. The door to the opening has a small magnet at the top to help keep it securely closed. There are also two small clips mounted on the inside of the door to hold your outgoing mail. It comes with two keys as well as the instructions to mount it. However it does not include any mounting hardware such as screws, bolts etc. They were however included in the mounting bracket that I purchased. Because my mailbox post was constructed of PVC vinyl, it was too wide for the mounting bracket to work. Therefore I’m going to have to replace the entire post in order to install this mailbox. But it’s going to be worth every penny if it means my mail and small packages will be secure from thieves. If you were looking for a truly secure mailbox, this is the one you should select.

Great looking Mailbox. Was going to install it right away but with snow coming I thought I'd wait till Spring. We have about a 70/30% chance that our mailbox will be hit each winter with the 70% being most likely to happen. Either the snow plow will take it off or someone will go down the hill to fast and hit it. This new one will be great for our packages and I look forward to using it.

The Oasis Eclipse Mailbox is absolutely gorgeous and perfect in every way possible. I love the bronze finish. It matches well with the outside of my house, and with the garden accessories I've collected that also have bronze finishes. Installation is easy and very straightforward. I paired this bronze mailbox with a bronze post I had already installed about six months ago, the Architectural Mailboxes Coolidge Bronze In-ground Post. They look really beautiful together, but the best part is their post comes equipped with a mounting plate and hardware that coordinate with both standard mailboxes and larger mailboxes like this one. If you already have a post you're going to use, but just need a 4"x10" mounting plate then there's an optional mounting plate sold separately. This is a standard, large mailbox with four predrilled 5/16" mounting holes, so you will need four 5/16" bolts, nuts and washers. To install the mailbox, unlock the incoming mail slot to reveal the predrilled holes. Place the bolt through the top of a predrilled hole, then attach a washer and nut to the bolt through the underside of the predrilled hole, and tighten. I love this mailbox so much. It is exceptionally well-built with stronger, high-quality steel that is durable and long lasting. You can feel it's strength when you touch it. The security features, locking mail slot, flag, and outgoing mail clips are created with superior craftsmanship. Every inch is made to last a lifetime.

This review is for the Oasis Eclipse Rubbed Bronze Post Mount Locking Parcel Mailbox with Silver Flag This model the Oasis Eclipse is the newest version of the large locking mailbox series from Architectural Mailboxes. This is a smaller box than the Oasis, or the Oasis classic. It is a good size for most needs, as the larger ones are pretty serious mailboxes. The only downside, and why I took off one star, is that the maker decided to use thinner steel than the other models. This is a great mailbox. We have had a large locking mailbox for about 15 years and it was time to replace our old one. This came along just in the nick of time. This one is larger than our old one and it is made better as well. It was definitely easy to install since we already had a mailbox installed we just had to take the old one off and out the new one on, it works well,

The Oasis eclipse black post mount locking parcel mailbox with Red flag is perfect. With all the mail theft going on this makes me feel confident that my mail will be safe. This mail box is very durable and easy to install is a really good product. Oasis Eclipse Black Post mounted lockable parcel mailbox and red flag, Powder coated which is a much better then paint, enhanced locking system with anti fishing security comb, concealed dual outgoing mail clip to protect outgoing mail, Mounting hardware not included because of the of the difference options on mounting this type of mailbox, After hearing about our neighbors having they're mail stolen we decided to change ours to a lockable mailbox, Well made and heavy duty.

I received my Architectural Oasis Eclipse black mailbox today; This is a nice looking secure built mailbox. It has a large capacity that will accept small packages such as the small U.S.P.S. priority box. It has a decent lock on it, and the door has a magnetic catch. I like the fact that the mailbox has a secure spring tension clip to hold the outgoing mail. Overall this is a nice-looking well-built mailbox with fade-resistant paint that appears to be a powder coating.

I really like this mailbox, it says it is a pewter locking mail box but it is actually a heavy duty black steel material! I replaced two mailboxes and made a new platform. I like the magnetic door catch and the place to hold outgoing mail on the inside of the door out of prying eyes. It has a nice big red flag to let the carriers know there is mail to go out. The locked area can hold a lot of mail and small packages. I have had it a couple of weeks and even the mail carrier liked it better than the old ones. If there is a problem, it could be the accumulation of snow in the winter months on the flat top!

This item arrived very well packaged and undamaged.  Upon opening the box you will find the mailbox, two keys, and instructions. Hardware for mounting is not included.  There are four holes on the underside for mounting on a post. I love this mailbox. It has everything you could want. Good looks. Well made. Tight tolerances and attention to detail. The door has a magnet to help keep it tightly closed. The inside of the door also has two very convenient clips that will securely hold outgoing mail. Along with a nice red flag, your outgoing mail should be safe from the elements. The ramp that allows the delivered letters to slide to the collection point has anti-theft teeth on the inside. The lock has an anti-pry cover on the inside. The floor of the mailbox is painted a nice red which provides a nice contrast to easily see delivered letters.The floor also has raised ridges that keep letters from laying in water should some seep inside. The paint appears to be baked on which provides a very smooth finish, attractive look, and provides for additional rust proofing. I mounted mine on a post made by the same manufacturer, so install was a breeze.  Highly recommended.

Nicely designed and functional locking mailbox. Comes with two keys to unlock lower portion to retrieve your mail. While this is not a security box it will deter a would be thief. Mail easily enters the top portion and deposits in a locked lower space for secure storage. Has a handy holder on inside of entry door will hold outgoing mail along with a red metal flag to alert postman.

This is a really great, very well made mailbox. It comes assembled with two sets of keys. My mailbox and post were knocked over, dented and not salvageable, so this is the replacement. I bought the steel post that goes with the box, made by the same company, so the box fit like a champ. The completed photo below shows it ready to concrete in the ground this coming Sunday when there is no mail. I’m very pleased with this box. It’s very strong and appears to be built to last.

This is a very nice mailbox by Architectural Mailboxes. Not only is it beautifully designed, it has been extremely well made. The heavy duty galvanized steel housing is riveted, welded, and post and nutted. The large size (18.2"L x 11.3"W x 11.0"H) allows it to accept envelopes as well as small parcels up to 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8".
