I should have checked the dimensions more closely, as I can reach in without unlocking it. I do think the appearance itself will act as a theft deterent though.

A little difficult to get the key in, but, overall a VERY nice box. Be sure to get the right adapter for mounting, though.

Good secure mailbox. Just put it up so can't say how it works just yet? But we think it will do the job.

Everything was as described. All parts went together easily. Only thing would recommend is a longer post . Maybe another foot longer would work perfectly. I like it.

The construction of this mailbox is very strong, and the price was better than comparable ones. The length of the box and the door design prevent some magazine size items from dropping fully into the secure area.

This was used in a brick-construction mailbox. Solid construction and design, installation was simple. Seems to be made of fairly heavy-duty material and I would expect it to last for the life of the home. No complaints and would highly recommend!

Nice mailbox at a good price. It is however easy for me to reach in and grab the mail. I am female and of average size. Not sure how secure my mail will be.

I bought this mailbox because I thought it would be more secure. Instead, I found I could reach my arm inside and pull a piece of mail from the locked compartment. Kindof pointless to lock if I'm able to do that.

Easy to install, just a couple of wrenches and a screw driver needed. Directions very simple to follow. I used the old hole from previous mail box so I didn't have to dig a new one. Very secure and easy to drop mail in and get it out. No worries if you go away for a few days that your mail might get stolen or even wet from the elements.

Oasis Eclipse Pewter Locking Parcel Mailbox with Red Flag is a quality built mail box made to secure your delivered mail from possible theft. The baked on finish in pewter will hold up in all kinds of weather and made to last many years of service. The front of the mail box includes two doors, one for the mail carrier to deposit the mail into a top slot that deposits the mail to the bottom of the box and can not be accessed except through the bottom door secured by a lock and key. This box is heaver than a standard mail box and requires a heavy mounting plate to hold the mail box in place. I would recommend this box to anyone needing a secure mail box.

This is a good mailbox if you regularly receive packages via the Postal Service, because it keeps the postal delivery person from just leaving your package outside next to the mailbox, and possibly getting stolen. It's lightweight enough that it will work on a standard post, and sturdy enough that it's not likely to get broken into. I replaced my old mailbox with it, and it does the job very nicely. Even the postman likes it!

Wow this is like the vaults of mailboxes. It is also built very well it should last a long time even here during our great Wisconsin winters. The only thing that I think will take this out would be one of the cities plows. I like the dual compartments and the size is great. Seeing as how we order a lot of online packages this is going to be great and the mail man is going to love it as well.

I love this mailbox. I didn't use it for mail. I put it by my garden gate. It holds my gloves, bug spray, sunscreen, garden shears, spare sunglasses, and even bandaids. Keeps them dry and easy to get to when I need them. I love them look. Helps me stay organized and items stay dry and easy to use. Protection for bugs and critters makes it a perfect hiding place for the things I need.
