Restored fences. All three sides done at different times. Oldest fence is on the left side. The back fence is the newest. Solid stain was recommended to hide all imperfections but I didn’t want the painted look. I chose one coat of semi-transparent. I’m happy with the results. I hardly ever write reviews. Thought I would share the outcome since review research is what helped me come to a decision. Used 3 cans of stain in this picture.

We purchased and used this in our newly installed deck- we waited the proper amount of time and also sanded and used deck wash prior to applying this. We are now 7 months post application. If your dogs happen to step on it with muddy paws, plan on the paw prints being there forever. I literally have scoured, pressure washed and simple greened this deck- with no success. It’s as if the dirt sticks to the surface. I’m now left with a deck we spent hours applying this to that looks terrible.

Went on great. 24 hours to dry all the way, very nice color not orange red or yellow nice medium brown

Easy to apply , great coverage, color was beautiful. Overall extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend it!

Second year in a row while applying two coats each time. Every year is completely peels up. Causes me more work than helping me.

Purchased to rebuild our side gate. Looks great and dried quickly. I have a ton leftover for going around the neighborhood and seeing if anyone else might want to pay me to do theirs, lol. The gallon was way too much but it was that or several small cans, so the economical choice was the gallon, but man it's expensive for paint period now...

One coat and done. Great coverage, great stuff!

Easy brush application with a beautiful finish on my new cedar back deck. Time will tell on durability, my Dobie launches himself off on the way to the barn.

A little goes a long way. 1 gal did the inside and out of 4 hot tub surround pieces I made and I still have some left.

Great stain 1 coat did it!

Upon opening the Solid Redwood Deck Stain and Sealer, it was orangish. I thought it would darken. It didn’t. The label color and the can’s contents were different—and terribly disappointing. After my feedback, Behr asked to see how they could make it right. They went out of their way to make me happy. In fact, their product may turn out to be superior to the SuperDeck stain I used before. I am completely satisfied with how Behr handled my problem and I am again happy with how my deck looks.

Love Behr paint. Covers well and last a long time. I have to drive farther to get Behr. Well worth it.

I've been reading a lot of reviews regarding this stain and the color. Many people complain the stain is too orange. I must admit a was a bit skeptical about the color too but decided to roll the dice. What I found was the color looks a bit too heavy on the orange side when the deck is initially stained but after it's weathered a little bit it begins to take on more of the cedar color. Came out nice. I'll have a better idea of the stain resiliency by this time next year. Good product IMO.

I really liked the way it covered and so far so good. We will see how it winters.

Delivers what it claims. The results are more tha I expected. Great product.

Don’t freak out when you open the can, the final product dries darker and is absolutely gorgeous on unprimed cedar. It rained unexpectedly 3 hours after application and it still looks great. Absorbs quickly and easy to apply. Photos are one coat only

If you have a redwood deck, you will likely be greatly disappointed by the color described as "redwood." This is closer to a hideous orange. I wish I had not bought it. The color on the can is nowhere close to what's inside. It is such a mismatch that I wonder if it was mislabeled. While applying, I kept hoping the color would change, but, alas, it did not. A friend used the redwood "transparent" version, and it looks great--dark brown--like it should. This stain is awful, but I'm stuck now.

I rebuilt my deck of 20+ years with new deck boards, steps and other boards that needed replacing. It was a yucky black mess. After that I powerwashed the entire deck showing nice clear lumber, after a week in the sun you could almost not tell the difference between the old boards and the new ones. I say this because the paint guy said I would have to use a solid color on the rails to match it all up. I applied two coats on the floor of the deck with a pad using a brush to get between the boars and fill any cracks. The pads are the way to go. Easy Peasy! First coat was inconsistent, but the second really looks good. I did one coat on the rails and they look fine. So far so good. Water is beading up and it's standing up to some wear and tear it's bound to get. After a couple of months it's darkening a little and looking good. It's not that deep dark redwood color, but it's nice. The only downside is some of the preservative in the lumber is coming thru in a few spots. I don't fault the paint for that.

Bought all the stuff the store suggested to seal my deck did everything that the paint department told me to applied the stain 8 hours later it started to rain and now the deck has bare spots all over. The can says “4 hours rain ready” not true now I have to buy everything all over again clean the deck rent the sprayer and restrain the entire deck!!! Highly recommend not to buy this stain.

When you buy from a reputable brand and the product is very expensive you expect quality. This is utter trash. It's been a month since we treated our deck. This isn't a stain. It's a paint. It left out deck extremely tacky and after 4 plus weeks, it's still so tacky it's unusable. Every bit of dirt sticks to it. And worse yet, at FOUR WEEKS ITS PEELING. The deck already looks like trash. I can't believe how much time and money I wasted. This product should be discontinued immediately.

Ruined my beautiful new fence. Used a professional sprayer. Not semi-transparent at all. Looks like I painted my fence red. Kept thinking it would lighten up as it soaked in and dried. Huge mistake.

Product claims to be good for 6 years on horizontal surfaces, our hand rail which sees zero use started peeling after 1 year and now at 2 years there are several spots that are peeling up. Will need to refinish. Complete waist of time and money, will NOT recommend to anyone. Also this product is not semi-transparent, can not see the actual wood at all, essentially just painted it all which was not desired.

Colors didn't match. We made the rookie mistake of not buying enough, so upon ordering a 2nd and 3rd supply, each set we got were different colors. Our fence is now multicolored. 6 feet of our 54 foot fence is the ACTUAL color we wanted. Majority was not as advertised.

Did the two coat on my beautiful redwood deck and this stain completely ruined it. It’s literally orange paint. Looks nothing like my beautiful redwood. The only thing worse than this stain will be the process of removing it. And yes, I applied it correctly. Former professional painter. My only mistake was thinking it would dry looking better.

I used a cheap stain on a platform deck I built a few years ago. I let the new PT wood dry for a few months in the summer, but it never took the stain. Now most of the old stain has peeled off, and I used the semi-transparent Behr to restain. Went on beautifully. If you are working with new wood or a new deck, you are much better off waiting until it dries out before applying any stain. Very happy with this product.

We just applied this to our deck a couple weeks ago, so we cannot attest to the longevity of the product yet. But it applied nicely, evenly and looks great. It rained a bit a few days after application and it held up great. It has also held up nicely to our patio furniture- no scratching or anything when you move a chair on the surface. The biggest disappointment is how obvious dirt is on this color. Consider a different color if you have dirt areas in your yard or pets.
