Overall this has worked well but assembly was harder than it should have been. The biggest problem was front wheel spindle height. The measurement specs say a minimum of 3” required. The spindle height on my Gravely ZT52 is about 3-1/4” so I figured no problem. The pinch mounts are too tall for minimum spindle height as they wouldn’t allow the front wheels on the mower to pivot without alteration. I ended up pressing them narrower and also flipped the top spindle cap since it is a sealed bearing

This was built very solid. There were a few times I had to go back due to lack of clear directions when building. I used this on a Acre + sized lot and it worked great. Absolutely faster than a rake.

IMO this attaches the best way to your ZTR. Took a couple hours to install. As expected, instructions weren't the greatest, but it was not terrible figuring it out. Just installed, so I I'll update review after 1st time use. FYI, this is attached to my Gravely ZTHD 60" ZTR and feels very very solid.

I bought the dethatcher last summer because my lawn was really checking on old thatch. I figured that it would be cheaper to buy one to tow with my Ryobi electric than to rent a unit. I was right! I ended up using it twice, and agreed the second time to do my neighbor's lawn as well. I really love having it at the ready for this summer!

Your product is extremely well built. Advertised as “universal” is false advertising, as it did not adapt to my John Deere Z345r zero turn mower. Should this unit be retrofitted so as to adapt to affore mentioned mower, will be in line to purchase.

Overall good except tire come off the wheel the first time had to buy another tire and wheel other than that I am satisfied

Very light duty piece of equipment. First time used brackets bent. After I reinforced those parts, next time used wheel came off of plastic rim and bent bracket again. All this was going no more than 2-3 mph

Assembly was difficult. A few pieces of hardware were missing and some parts didn't line up for assembly. The bolt holes seemed to be drilled in the wrong places. I ended up returning the entire unit. Unit wasn't stable when mounted on the ZTM. It kept bouncing and missing parts of the lawn.

Work great easy to mount with either ratchet or impact wrench

Does not mount very well and wound up throwing away most of the frame for such.

Great product shipping took forever

This works great on my Z248F zero turn... BUT the weels a plastic and if you are not going slow and watching how they turn the center will bust AND no local parts, That being said the support arms for it also like to bend easy. 2 years and i am on 2 support arms and 2 wheels.

had to rebuild it to be able to mount it. many design problems.

The unit buckled on me and was ruined after doing a few lawns. Very disappointed with the money I spent.

Directions are awful. Do not even follow them. Just go based on the picture. Still tweaking it to make it work more efficiently on my mower.

Used this with my 22 year old Exmark Metro 48" walk behind. Note that the product is not advertised for use with a walk behind. Assembly was straight forward. Attaching to the mower was a bit of a challenge and easier done with a helper as the instructions say. The pivot brackets needed to be installed upside down from what is shown in the instructions in order to line up at the proper height for attachment. The instructions don't match the above photo, which is the orientation that worked for me. The fit to the mower where it clamps on was a little bit on the loose side as the casters on this mower are a bit on the narrow side and may require some additional padding for a tighter fit. Your mower will steer like a boat and you will need to start your turns earlier than normal, i.e., you will not be doing quick zero turns and you will have difficulty getting in and out of corners and tight spaces. Other than that I was able to dethatch at my normal mowing speed so it made quick work of the job. It is solidly made and did a nice job.

Heavy duty construction. I drilled one hole to make it fit better.

Did not fit needed to modify it for my z655 jd. they should have included better brackets and clearer instructions. Worked great once assembled and fit to my machine.

Took some patients to clamp on and adjust correctly, but follow the instructions closely. Worked great and pulled up the deep thatch in my lawn.

while I think this would work on flat, non-wooded yards, I bent the frame on the first use on a tree root.

The dethatcher is ok once you get it assembled. It took two days and three trips to a hardware store to finally get it assembled. It came with 24 1/2 inch nuts but none of the 20 5/16 inch that are needed. This was the first trip to the hardware store. Next I was missing locking nuts and finally a very hard to find hexnut. I was very careful unpacking all hardware but there must be zero quality control and they simply put the wrong hardware in or left it out all together. Time will tell how the dethatcher itself holds up but I’m not too hopeful. I do not recommend this product due to the complete lack of quality control.

Horrible. Shipped with no directions and missing screws. Online video for assembly had no sound.A lot of trial and error to get the settings right to dethatch. Dethatcher worked good in the end. Not happy with their quality control. Should never be shipped without directions and missing pieces
