Thank you for your question. We recommend to tow between 3-5 MPH. You won't need to add any additional weight.
Thank you for your interest in our Front Mount ZTR Thatcher. Unfortunately, it does appear that your ZTR measurements are too narrow to mount the DTZ-48BH securely. We apologize for that. We do have both 40" and 48" tow-behind Dethatchers that might work for you. These hook up via a hitch plate that most ZTR's and Lawn and Garden Tractors are equipped with. Thank you for your question and good luck with your projects.
Thank you for your interest in our Front Mount Dethatcher for ZTR mowers! We are happy to say that this item will be back in stock on May 4th!
It should fit just fine as it has adjustable brackets.
Hello, thank you for your question. We do offer a fit guide to ensure the DTZ-48BH will mount to your mower. Please reach out to us directly, and we would be happy to get this guide available to you. You may call us at 877-728-8224, email us at customerservice@brinly.com or live chat with us on www.brinly.com.
While most ZTR’s have pivoting casters (in the vertical plane) this model also has a pivoting Front axle assembly – in a horizontal plane. Since our unit attaches to the ends of the axle assembly then there should be no issue with our unit on this mower. The front axle assembly can pivot, but it would only do so to hug the contour of the ground it is traveling over. The Dethatcher should still be the same distance from the ground side to side, this will allow it to continue to dethatch over uneven or at an angle land.
