Frame mount was not wide enough to mount on my Hustler ZTR frame. Had to have a welding shop add 6 inches of tube steel onto frame to get it wide enough. Then the mount does not stay put on th e wheel swivel posts and damages the paint on the mower. I will have to engineer some other method of mounting since I can't return it due to the first modification. The rest of the rake should work fine.

Although the equipment works it is very cheaply made. The wheels tend to dig in when driving forward after zero turning. The wheel arms bent as a result. I will have to strengthen the arms before Using again. New wheels too. I would not buy again...

Bought for my Deere Z445, will not fit because the "V Bracket" is too tall to attach to the front swivel caster. Would not work on my Cub RZT42, not work on my Deere z245, or my other Z. When I called Brinly customer service all they said was sorry!. When I asked if there was some kind of adapter to use, there response was "nope". Very unhappy!!!!!

This is a very poorly designed product. If you are designing a product like a dethatcher then it should work properly under all the expected conditions the product will be used. Lawns are not usually perfectly flat and most will have berms, bumps, dips and holes. I setup the dethatcher properly and double checked that all the hardware tight. I was using it for a short time and it seemed to be ok. Then I hit either a small hole or berm and the dethatcher dug into the ground so hard that the entire front of the mower lifted off the ground. I was worried that I had damaged my mower but luckily it was ok. The wheels on the dethatcher did not keep this from happening. At that point I was done with this Brinly dethatcher and removed it from my mower. If you have a nice flat lawn then maybe you will never have this problem, on the other hand if not then good luck.

We are very sorry to hear this happened, the dethatcher is a pretty rugged piece of equipment and has been thoroughly tested. There are a number of factors, speed, tine height, ground conditions, that could have caused this to happen. Please give us a call at 877-728-8224, we can help get this sorted out. Brinly

Was simple to assemble. Pictures in the manual show brackets just the opposite so unit did not touch the ground. Had to turn brackets for wheels and where it attaches to front support upside down then realign and everything was good.

      Looks good in theory.
Giving it 4 stars for now because I didn't get to use it yet. I ran out of daylight after trying to finish up a crash course to get my bachelors degree for lawn equipment assembly. Do yourself a favor and do NOT read the instructions. They are junk. It has you mount things upside down and backwards. Look at the pictures of the fully assembled unit on the front of the box or Home Depot's website and build it from that. Use an air impact wrench and deep well sockets. Some parts had too much powdercoating and took full speed impact to get them through. The unit looks sturdy and like it's made of quality steel. Heavy duty. I just think it would have been better to have a competition at the local elementary schools art class to draw up better instructions to put it together. Looking forward to testing it tomorrow. Put it on an Ex-mark zero turn.

Wrong bolts were in the packaging some parts were missing. Had to go to store and get right bolts. When I did get it together and used it the wheels would bind up every so often and bend the arms they are attached to. I had to modify because of missing parts other wise this would be returned

        Not Bad
I would have given 5 stars had I received all the hardware needed! I made 5 trips to get missing nuts and bolts that were missing from contents! Also the large nut which causes the bolt to tighten the bar onto the ZTR mower had to be retapped due to excessive burs in threads!

          Junk
Missing a lot of little bolts, washers and clips. I went to hardware store for parts that we're missing. My lawn is 6,000 square feet. About 2500 square feet into lawn the plastic wheel broke.

            Great product for the price
This product was fairly easy to install and use. I was able to install it myself although with 2 people it would have been a lot easier and quicker. Once i got it installed on my walk behind mower I was easily able to raise and lower the tines and dethatch yards without issue. It is built very heavy duty, the only issue i had was the powder coating was to thick on a couple pieces that slid into each other so it was a bit tricky but i got it. I would say over all its a great product for the money.

            Solid product, works well.
Product works as described. Its well built and I dont anticipate any breakage. I am using it with a cub cadet rzt50 with no problems. Really nice to have it out front so that I can use the mower to pickup the thatch in one pass.

            works really well
The ad specifically listed my Cub Cadet RZT42 zero turn mower as a compatible mower for this unit and it does fit but with some rubbing on the leading caster wheels of the mower. It's not the end of the world , but I will need to do some modification to have it work as it should. I am very happy with the way it pulls thatch out of the lawn and the mower sucks it right up in one pass.

This unit does the job but it is far from easy to use. The mounting bracket is the issue. It's heavy and very awkward to put on. The instructions recommends two people to mount it into the mower, which isn't logical considering it's designed for a zero turn mower to save time and effort. Once you get the bracket on the rest is easy and simple.

Concept is great graphic vs. instruction are really bad
This product is designed specifically for the ZTR market, with eight (8) adjustment points and then 2 people are suggest to finish the assembly this is not for the weak of heart.

              Love this thing
I can't believe how sturdy they built this thing. I can literally stand on top of the mounting bracket without damaging it, and I weigh almost 200 lbs. Articulates fine, mounts easily, and its way cheaper than the other ones I looked at. The tray is a little thin, but the frame and the wheels are strong so it shouldn't be an issue. Nice work Brinly!
