The boxes, though made well, do not meet today’s replacement standards. The electrical team suggested that the box be fully integrated into the wall to prevent the unnecessary outside drywall repair : patch. They chose not to use them and used those inside the wall. So these will be returned.

Box was utilized by installer with no problems

The screws to adjust the tabs to secure the box to drywall are almost impossible to turn. I see some DIYers using a power driver to turn them, but you should be able to turn with a screw driver with an appropriate size tip. I purchased two just in case, one the screw heads stripped and the other I managed to get the bottom tab tightened, but the top one is about and 1/8” shy of being snug. I may end up redoing it… if I do I’ll try a different brand. Very disappointed…

I was test fitting box, and didn't notice lower extended, making removal impossible until I figured that out.

To install an outlet in an existing wall, these boxes work great and are easy to install.

The thing was purchased for a electrical outlet. It was used for that it worked just fine.

Very easy to install and the flaps to hold on drywall or base board are really handy. The box is deep so I could house my wire connections behind the power outlet easily.

Finally- a deep box that can be used in a standard wall, that can be secured by drywall anchors on the back of the box. I used it for a single gang GFCI outlet that has two USB slots on it as well. The only box that works is this one! It’s seems like HD is the only company that has these in stock and available. Works well! No concerns on breakage. Well built.

Carlon products have always worked well for me , this was no different, installed as intended, worked excellent for adding 240v single receptacle for my air compressor

Had to move an outlet on new construction and needing a recessed receptacle for a plug in mirror over it. Plenty of room for wires and outlet
