    Nice Bulb!
I was a little leery of the large plastic housing around bulb, I believe it's used for cooling, I thought it might be really noticeable but it wasn't. You can hardly notice it. Also it definitely delivers on the 100watts!!! Great product for the price!!

So disappointed. Bad product from Cree
I have purchased just about every Cree bulb type and wattage. Including single wattage, three ways, spots, and floods. I have spent hundreds of dollars converting our home to Cree leds. There is no value or energy savings when nearly a third have failed across all bulb types. I did exchange a few at Home Depot. They have pretty much given up too as it is impossible to exchange in the last 3 months or so. Recently I see that our local store no longer carries any of the Cree bulbs we purchased over time. There are new versions and fewer choices. I bought Cree bulbs as a trusted name and leader in led technology, but I am extremely disappointed in their consumer products now. I certainly will not be getting the new versions and have a poor view of them at this point. Expensive for the lack of quality and failure rate at 1-2 years is unconscionable! Enough is enough. Sorry to say stay away from Cree!!!

Burnt out in the 1-2 year range
Not worth it, only lasted less than 2 years. It also flickered multiple times a day for the last year or so. Couple days ago it went out completely for about 10 seconds but then went back on. Today it went out again but stayed off. I paid a lot of money for a led bulb that only lasted a very short time. Very disappointed.

Cree 100W Eq Soft White Dimmable LED Bulb
This bulb is used in a trouble light and it perfect for the light needed, the durability, and the longevity. It will probably never need to be replaced. It also happened to be on sale for less than half the normal price, which never hurts!

      Terrible life. Bad quality
I bought 5 of these within the year for a very high light fixture where it takes a very tall ladder to change. Wanted to make sure I didn't need to change for a long time. Two are already burned out. Halogens have better life. No way do these approach advertised life.

        Does not last long
We installed many of the previous 100W version and use other wattage as well. After about 2 yrs, several have failed or are failing w/individual LEDs going out. At least prices have gone down, but I would not buy again and definitely do not recommend the Cree brand.

          Defective
I bought three of the Cree 100W equivalent led bulbs and one bulb failed within two months. An incandescent light bulb lasts more than two months.

          Works like a charm
Product works as advertised. Just replaced the side mirror lights in the bathroom. These lights provide excellent lighting, make none of the noise associated with some LED brands, and meet the lighting needs of the room. I am pleased with the purchase.

          Let there be LIGHT!
I cannot say what the long term life span on this bulb is yet, but I can tell you that OMG let there be light! We put this in our new porch hanging light....and I swear it looks almost like day break on our front lawn now! Wow. It was on sale for $9 at HD, the most I have ever paid for a light bulb, so lets see if it was worth it. If it last 5 years, I will say yes, as the security it offers is just amazing.

Energy Efficient and works as it should.
Recently purchased these to replace all the bulbs in one of my chandeliers. I replaced 6 100W incandescent bulbs with 6 100W likeness LED bulbs. They works perfectly... just like regular bulbs but instead of consuming 600W, the fixture now only consumes 78W. The only issues I found were the bulbs were a little taller than the standard bulbs so you can see the tops of the bulbs peeking out above the glass fixtures now. The color matched perfectly and the dimmer function works as it should. They are not as bright as I thought they would be, but that could be because I opted for warmed 2700k as opposed to the 5000k bulbs they replaced. I now do not have to worry as much when family members leave the lights on for extended periods.

              Bright & stays cool
I think LED bulbs are too expensive, but the price keeps going down. However, it is a quality product that dramatically uses less power, and is just as bright as an incandescent bulb.

              Failed within a year
Worked well for a while, and then failed. I've had 2 out of 3 that I bought fail already. Unfortunately, I did not keep the receipt (because it's a light bulb...), so I'm out the money, but I'd rather have a bulb that works than a good warranty on a bulb that doesn't.

                Not as advertised
Had eight of these in use in my living room in a recessed can light fixture. They lasted about a year and then started getting dimmer and dimmer. At about eighteen months they started flickering (two of eight bulbs). So much for 22 years lifespan.

                Burn outs
The first bulb I bought burned out in a week. The second burned out within 18 months. It was on an average of less than an hour a day. These are way too expensive for this short lifetime. Be sure to keep your receipts if you buy one of these.

                Absolute Junk
I bought this bulb because of Cree's reputation. It was supposed to last for years, but it just died after only about 6 months. Like others, I don't save receipts for every purchase I make, so I'm out of luck on this one. What a waste of $20.

Count me as one of the unlucky ones...
I have installed Cree led's throughout our new construction home. The newer design (60W 4-Flow) have been fantastic, not one failure out of over 60 bulbs. This older design, 100W has been nothing but problems. I did learn after the first failure to save the packaging and receipt, and Home Depot has been great about exchanging. It has become a bit of a game to me to see what will last longer, my patience or Cree. Bulbs with this many issues can't be good for a company's bottom line, or reputation! My advice, if you choose to buy these, is to buy one more than you need. When the inevitable happens and the bulb fails, you can just screw in the new one, repackage the bad bulb in the new bulbs packaging, and return it when convenient. You now have a new replacement for when the next one goes bad, which in my experience, it will! Repeat as necessary, until Cree produces a bulb that can have a prayer of reaching its rated lifespan...

                Avoid these LED bulbs
These used to be great but something has happened to their manufacturing process or design. I have had 5 fail within 4 weeks of installation, both the 100 Watt and 150 Watt. Others that were made years ago are still going strong. They are garbage now so buy another brand until they get their act together.

                Bad Product
Failed after 18 months, "10 Year Warranty" doesn't mean anything unless you keep the retail packaging. I have the receipt, and the bulb, and Cree won't replace. Stay away from Cree, my Phillips bulbs are all still going strong.

                Junk, failed in 8 months
When new it worked quite well, very bright, cooler than a traditional 100. After 8 months of light use' less than 1 hr per day, the bulb failed to light good thing I saved my original 100 watt

Two of 7 failed in less than a year
Two of 7 that I installed in the kitchen burned out in less than a year. They are in open cans end the store lighting clerk said heat buildup should not be an issue. The original package shows a 10 year warranty and the clerk said they would give me 2 new bulbs but I noticed the new packages don't have that warranty.

                Burned out in a month
I was excited for this 100W replacement dimmable LED. The bulb body is both wider and longer than most bulbs, so I had to buy a new housing for the kitchen light. It worked fine for several weeks, then just died. I'm buying more LED bulbs for other locations now, but I won't buy Cree.

Garbage, don't buy, burned out within 6 months
Bought it from a local Home Depot store on 01/02/2016. It burned out tonight, 06/17/2016, so these "forever" LED bulbs (from CREE, I can't speak for other brands), are anything but "forever" bulbs.

I bought cree bulbs for my whole house last year prior to installing solar- about 1 month ago, I bulb died... yesterday another one died- this time I called cree, and they are sending me replacements... BUT.. these things are suppose to last for years, not months- I will not buy cree bulbs ever again...

These are trash, Don't last more than 3 months
I got some of these in December 2015 they died, got warranty replacement and bought some more thinking it was a fluke. Got them in March 1 is already quit working. I don't understand why they don't last, I thought LED was the new tech that people raved about. Latest one to die was in the over head bedroom light. I run A/C so it was never too hot in the room or moist.
