Will not cure even though prepped and applied properly. Kitchen counter application - air dried 24 hours, still soft, fan dried 48 hours, still soft and not curing. Dread the rework this is causing. Lot # and expiration was not stamped in tube well enough to read.

Purchased the product to replace aging caulk in a home shower. Dried the shower for 24 hours, removed the old caulk, cleaned the surface, and applied the new product. I let it cure for 24 hours as per the instructions, and the began to use the shower again. After just 6 days, the new product was turning to mush, and melting away. Will have to completely remove this product, and redo the job again.

Used this sealant at tub-tile interface on a new tile and grout job. Surface was cleaned and had never seen water. Allowed product to cure more than 24 hrs and, as with other reviews, it began to soften and fall apart within about 3-4 showers in several places, 4 inches or more. Other areas appeared to be in good shape while others showed some type of light blue spots. Still unacceptable. Had chosen to use this instead of plain silicone to take advantage of the Microban. Too bad it failed miserably.

Really surprised by all the bad reviews. This product worked perfectly for me. Used it in the bathroom. It went on white and dried clear within a few hours. Can hardly see there is any silicone there unless you look closely for it. Love the look. IT's been 3 months and it is still there and looks like new. I am nothing but happy from this product.

I have been using DAP products (and others) for decades and I have learned that product performance and shelf life can be related, so today I threw away a tube that had been sitting around and bought a new one for a small job. If you look at the product picture, you can see a slot punched in the closure weld so that the product can be hung on a hook. The punched slot effectively reduces the weld strength. About half way into my job, the closure weld failed and I had to clean up a mess. Using calipers I measured the weld width on the old tube at .21" and the weld width on the new tube at .12". Poor product quality control that doesn't require anything more than occasional visual inspection and attention to the manufacturing equipment. Based upon the other reviews here, I can only imagine what is lacking in chemistry quality control.

Sad. The bad reviews of this product are at least going on 4 years and Home Depot is still selling the product. This product is 100% NOT waterproof! First waited 12 hours for it to dry, it got wet (behind kitchen sink so not submerged) and it all turned to mush and disintegrated. I thought, ok, I didn't give it enough time to dry. This time, I spent the entire 24 hours washing dishes, etc... in the garage sink. Product was very firm, definitely dry and then, a couple of water spots on it and it's turned to mush again. wipes off with paper towels. It's not that it's just a bad product, it's the LOST time you will go through to remove it and replace it with something better (which I haven't found yet, just still fuming over the fact that Home Depot would still sell this miss-represented product!
DO NOT BUY THIS!

It's clear, but with a green hue
Used this to caulk a vanity top. Decided on clear rather than white, well it cured to a clear but greenish hue. According to the other reviews here all I need to do is wait a week and it will start falling apart. Maybe that will make it easier to remove. I'm just hoping it doesn't mess up the paint job.
Very disappointing.

You will regret it.
Used this product to seal tub & toilet after installing a new floor one year ago and we just removed it. It had turned from a nice white to a beige color and it cracked.. One year old caulking looked like 20 year old caulking. It was so cracked that there was water underneath the "seal".
Last month we used a new tube of this stuff to seal along the base of a new bowl sink. It was dry and clean. We used a wooden stick to apply it, and no water or other chemical has ever touched it. Now, one month later, we have to remove it because it has already cracked along its entire length and has starting to discolor. Not only do I have to redo the job, I have to remove this horrible product from an awkward location. Will try to attach a photo to this comment because it's almost unbelievable that this product failed so poorly.
This has to be one of the worst products I have ever used.

Home Depot should stop selling this product - it doesn't work.
I bought this while browsing in the store. Had I read the online reviews, I would have purchased another product. My experience matches all of the others. It's been about 2 months and it is now cracking and has become discolored.
Given that almost all the reviews are bad, Home Depot should stop selling this product. All of us who have written a bad review will have to purchase another product and caulk again.
Home Depot: Please remove this product from your stores - it does not work as advertised.

Worst caulk I've ever used
Have caulked baths and showers countless times and this is the first time I have seen caulk literally dissolve after a week of showering. Let it set for over 36 hours before using shower. I would only use this stuff indoors for filling trim work. I wouldn't even use it for a kitchen backsplash.

Buyer beware
I would only recommend this product to someone if they planned on removed and reapplying after every shower. I wish I would have used elmers glue... I think it would have lasted longer.

This is the worst and bottom barrel of all caulk
DAP should stick to making dry-wall sealants as I have never have problems with them, as for caulking this product should be banned! This is the absolute worst caulk I have ever used. It will not adhere even though after the 36 hour mark. Running my finger across them is like using an eraser, where I can actually see little specks being rubbed off. The worst part about it was after all the hard work is done on my tub, the thing started dissolving when exposed to water.
Luckily I still have some GE White Kitchen and Bath Caulk-It that was purchased EIGHT YEARS ago (yes that's 8 years) and managed to apply, layered another coat on top. The GE caulk dries off almost in an instant leaving a very strong and glossy sheen.

Should not be sold!
Used in our shower. Waited 48 hours to dry. Starts dissolving right away! Each quick shower we took ended up with a pile of white water on our bathroom floor leaked through the holes that developed from the dissolving.

Applied Dap Quick Seal Plus 4 days ago and it is still not dry. I sprayed it with water this morning to clean the counter and the 4 day old Caulk job smeared all over the counter. Perhaps I got a defective batch?

The dry time indicated on the package label is intended to be a "guide" for planning purposes, however, as this is a water based (acrylic latex) formula, the sole drying mechanism is the evaporation of water. As indicated on the package label guidance and supporting product literature, dry time can be significantly impacted by cool or humid application conditions or by thick (deep) applications of the sealant. Because you did not provide any background on your application technique, application conditions or application surface, it is difficult to provide a more detailed response.
