Lock doesn't work
Bought one since it was a nice size to keep in the house for random stuff, and the magnet was convenient. Was using it today and found that the tape lock doesn't work -- it has to be held down to keep the tape locked, which is stupid. I'm pretty sure the one I have is defective.

Great for metal tool boxes
This measuring tape make sense if you are into steel boxes and cabinets. It would have been nice if metric graduations had been added to the half inch tape.

The DeWalt 108 piece tool kit is awesome!! Easy to read the size sockets. The case is very well made, tools don’t fall out easily when closing. The 3/8 & 1/4 ratchets work very good. I would definitely buy this kit again. The perfect tool kit to put in any car , suv or truck!!

This is a fantastic tape for any shop. Since the body of the tape is magnetic, I have found this to be handy by attaching them to the face of my toolbox. Since the first one I purchased, I have more than a 1/2 dozen today and have attached them to several steel surfaces all around my shop. I always need a tape and this way there’s likely to be one within reach no matter where I am in the shop!
