Works great as far as the self-feed feature, but really makes pretty messy, torn-out holes. I have tried other self feed bits that dont even pull themselves into the material but do cut pretty clean holes when forced. These definitely pull themselves into the material, so efficiently and quickly that you actually MUST have an aux handle to help stabilize your drill or you might break your arm trying to go through a 2x4. Once it starts going, be ready, it will go in fast and hard. I tried without my handle attached and it's just not possible. They are aggresssive. I think the fluting angles being so aggressive is part of why it pulls in so fast and hard, and winds up tearing the entrance and exit holes out a bit. It will definitely drill holes but not pretty ones. I would start with a forstener bit to break the surface then continue the hole the rest of the way with this if you need really clean holes. If you're just putting holes in rough framing for things where the holes won't be seen then obviously it doesn’t really matter.

The bit lasted about 20 minutes and the first nail it hit busted the tip so it no longer self-feeds. Waste of $26… disappointed in the purchase as I needed it for work.

Very fast drilling through double and triple studs, even with a cordless drill; however, almost all the time it leaves a splintered hole because the cut is not very clean most of the time.

This bit really cuts through 2x4s, I’m an electrician and am always drilling holes for wire, on most twist bits like this once the tip breaks through on the other side you really have to push to get it to break the rest of the way through, but the way the tip is designed on this one it’s like it has one final tug that breaks through with ease.

Had to drill through a 6”x 12” wooden beam. Went though like butter.

Works great unless you hit a mail- dulls fast.

Works pretty good with my Dewalt impact driver. I used it to make pilot holes in two x six lumber in my raised beds

Works as intended with little to no effort when using this drill bit.

Great Bit for the money.

I drilled railroad ties and the bit continually bound. It probably works great for soft wood, but it has too much bite/pitch for hard wood.

Convenient size for tight spaces.

Bit is easy to change and delivers pull through power and maintains its sharp edges.

works fantastic, eats through material that took me a half hour with other bits in 30 minutes, i had never used these before this, i am so impressed i highly recommend this line of drill bits for wood, thin metal, concrete and drywall,

Great drill it, but does wear out fairly quick

I was drilling through downed Cedar trees and connecting them with rebar. This bit had no problem going through the trees to make the pilot hole.

I work in the construction as a low voltage and I love this bits it really good for security cable 3/8 contacts for doors.
