I was cutting a suspension bolt off my car like previous reviewers. It made progress getting through the hard material until the blade broke off at the base, leaving me with a still unfinshed cutting job.

My experiance w/ this blade and cast iron pipe (circa 1976). the blade barely makes dent in the 2" cast iron pipe ... gets so hot that the heat will damage the blade. Using a professional Milwaukee Saz-All. see images ... that small 3/16' cut on the cracked pipe took ~ 4 minutes to cut .... Diablo ... if you have questions please reach out to me...

The saw blade works really well, has a touch of trouble starting to dig into the cut for a few seconds but once it gets in there it cuts through well enough. Used on a 20 volt dewalt reciprocating sawzall and take a minute to get through my yard's old (1930s?) Clothesline T posts. Images and videos attached.

This product definitely meets and exceeds expectations. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a great blade for their saw.

After reading mixed reviews on this blade I bought one tonight. I cut through a 4" cast iron sewer pipe relatively easily. I say relatively because if you are expecting it to cut like you are cutting wood you will be disappointed. When cutting metal with a blade with teeth, just like drilling a harder metal, speed and a ton of pressure are not what you need. I started slow with moderate pressure and got the cut started in about 30 seconds. About 2 minutes later I was through the pipe. If you stand on your saw and have it going as fast as it will go, I would imagine you would be unhappy with this blade because it probably won't perform well. I only had one cut to make so I probably pushed it harder than I would have if I needed the blade again. I have tried standard metal blades, the fancy diamond grit blades, and now this carbide tooth blade, and I am happiest with the carbide.

Seemed to work great on thinner steel. I was using a batter powered sawsall with plenty of power. Probably a stronger sawsall with more spm would do better. Does not cut aluminum well at all. Bi metal blades cut better. The softness of the aluminum gums up the carbide teeth.

I have chopped up many many vehicles and I have been a carpenter for over 25 years!!! I have used thousands upon thousands of SAWZALL blades,,and these Diablo blades are awsome!!!!! Hands down!!! I went thru 14 different blades cutting one bolt on a control arm and switched to a Diablo blade and it literally cut thru it in less than 30 seconds!!!!! I'm still amazed!! Thank you for making these blades!!!!

This is my new favorite blade for cutting cast iron drain pipe! After years of using diamond grit blades, i recently tried on of these carbide-tipped 8 TPI reciprocating saw blades for the first time. This blade cuts through cast iron pipe like no other. The next time I buy, i will likely opt for one of the longer versions of this blade, which make it easier to cut 4 inch cast iron pipe without the blade bumping the inside of the pipe. This is blade is now my first choice for cutting cast iron.

I bought this blade to cut through a cast iron pipe. I was able to cut through the pipe in 10 seconds. I was amazed at how quickly the blade went though the pipe.

Best metal blade I ever used. Cut through 2.5"x2.5"xi/4" in wall sq tubing, w/ 2"x2"x1/4"wall that was welded inside, in about 4 minutes. Do not apply too much pressure and let the blade do its job.

Had to trim 1x6x12 1045 flat that was torch cut, to sink this statement, cut 1 inch thick of material for 6 inch of length of medium carbon steel. That blade is really devilish. Used oil and let the blade rest. Blade was spent, but it did it.

Just had a small project of cutting off the trailer tongue to insert a folding joint. Not only did this saw blade cut quickly but also provided a straight precise cut. After the job the paint on the blade was scuffed, but the teeth actually looked as if it was not used except for the dust. Very satisfied with this blade

I needed to cut the lower control arms off my minivan because the bolts had rusted in their steel bushings and essentially cold-welded in place. The total thickness was about 1 inch, and the bolts are class 10 hardness, much harder than plain steel or even class 8.8 bolts. I had to cut through the bushing/bolt combined in four places total. I am sure I would have gone through several lesser metal-cutting blades. After a few hard kick-backs I thought I had broken the blade, but it took the punishment without bending or losing a tooth. It still feels sharp enough to cut a lot more. Carbide-tipped. Wow.

I received this blade as a sample about two months ago and having used various Diablo blades in the past I couldn't wait to try it out. I used this blade to cut metal roofing for a shed I was building in my back yard and I must say this blade cuts great it made my job so easy and in case you were wondering yes I have bought several more and I even gave my Dad an assortment of Diablo blades for fathers day just to share my love of this brand

Was a free offer. Great for cutting steal and aluminum. Wants to keep bending when cutting thick wood. Will buy Diablo blades over others. Unless I get a bargain on another brand.

I bought this blade to cut apart a cast iron bathtub. It cut like butter.

I used this blade to cut through 2 lower control arm bolts and bushings that were seized on my Acura. The bolts were made from a hardened steel and the bushings were about 1" thick . I had to make 2 cuts on each (4 total). The blade did awesome! I took an occasional break and sprayed it with some WD-40 from time to time, but within just a few minutes I was all the way through! The teeth on the blade look just as good as they did when I first got it. The blade really held up well, especially given that I had to use the tip for most of the cutting, due to the limited space on the other side of the bolt. This blade saved me from using a grinder under the cramped car and getting showered & burned from all the sparks. Great blade!

I ordered this 6” Diablo carbide tipped metal cutting blade because I have the 4” Diablo carbide tipped metal cutting blade. It cut through half inch steel like butter. I am impressed! I wanted the longer blade because it will cut a little straighter with less vibration. These blades are not cheap but when you're talking about successfully cutting half inch steel, they are well worth the money! I have to say something about the shipping. This skinny 6” blade was packed in a huge (for it) box with LOTS of bubble wrap so it wouldn't rattle around. With shipping costs like they are, this seemed ridiculous.

The end of the culvert under my drive way has been run over many times by big trucks (Tow Trucks, Utility company trucks, Delivery Trucks). It finally got to a point that it couldn't carry all the water and my drive way flooded with about 6 inches of water. I got the new culvert and some cold tar and a friend and I proceeded to replace the bad section of culvert. Cutting through the old culvert was a daunting job because of the rock and heavy clay soil that the culvert was buried in, but the Demon Carbide-tipped blade did the job.

We used this on 3" square tubing, 3/16" wall thickness and it ran through it like a BEAST. Super fast. We made just a few cuts with it, but absolutely no wear was apparent.
