Really nice grab bar…solid and good looking
Solidly built! Nicely (chrome) plated. Parts required for stud and non-stud mounting for included. This is the third bathroom in our house we have now installed this Delta style grab bar so that says something about our liking this product.

Sturdy Grab Bar
Such a sturdy and excellent looking bar. Using one bar as a handheld shower slider bar - Delta U6300-WH Shower Adapter Kit. Used Milwaukee 1/2 carbide tipped glass/tile drill bit, and Cobra 1/4" x 2-1/2" flip toggle bolts (excellent bolts) since I had no studs at one spot. Did need to exchange one bar since its "chrome" finish was not polished perfectly - had a few minor scratch marks that were visible in direct sunlight.

The Delta Contemporary 24 in. x 1-1/4 in. Concealed Screw ADA-Compliant Decorative Grab Bar in Matte Black is a very solid safety bar. Our summer cabin is currently closed for the winter but when I open it in the spring, I’m installing this safety bar on a short stairway leading to a landing. I have a long stair railing on the long stair section, but don’t have one on the short 3-step section. This will be perfect for that. I would recommend that this safety bar be screwed to the studs to keep it very sturdy, however there is 1 very sturdy wall support bracket provided for one end that can’t be attached to a stud. This bracket is designed to be installed in the wall through a small hole that will be covered by one end of the bar. There are covers over the screws, once installed, to make a nice neat installation. The total length of the unit is 28 inches, the mounting screws are 2 1/2 inches long each, and the grip bar is 25 1/2 inches long.

Almost took a serious fall in our bathtub that prompted this install. One of those, you really didn't know you needed it until you do kind of things. After a simple install I was amazed at the sense of security this grab bar afforded to ALL members of the family any age. Easy to install, easy to grip even with wet hands. Every bathtub or shower should have this safety bar installed.

+/- bar screws into arms - terribly easy to scratch finish - 6/6 wood screws stripped, two bent, vs thin-handled screwdriver I was going to replace a Delta brushed stainless Pivotal towel holder I was using as a sloped skylight curtain rod with this black grab bar, to match Delta's black Pivotal towel bar I have installed at the top of the skylight. I've installed four Delta Pivotal fixtures so far and have been impressed with the fixtures themselves as well as the supplied hardware -- this grab bar is not just an exception, I have to think it's likely dangerous. Six of six supplied wood screws stripped, and two bent, with no effort from a thin handled philips screwdriver, standing on a precarious ladder, above ~300f grow lights, arms overhead, no food that day. I wasn't nearly at my torquing best. My watch scratched the finish from running my arm down the length of it, again with no real force. In fairness, their black towel bar has metal curtain grommets and a plasticized boat hook running up and down it daily with no effect on its finish, and they appear to be exactly the same, so who knows. I would have stopped reading this review at bent screws if I was you; if it pulls out under bodyweight, the finish won't much matter. My newly purchased house didn't come with all its studs, nor studs layed out in any consistent distance, and there's a 2"+ gap between the surface of the drywall and the surpise studs if you find any, so while I tried to use Delta's toggle mount on this as well as their grab bar toilet paper holder, surprise studs had me redrill holes for the supplied wood screws instead -- but I had the toilet paper holder's toggle *almost* in place long enough to know it does seem to hold. So you'll have a margin of three screws to bend and strip if you use the single toggle on one end. I can't remember how long the wood screws were supplied with the toilet paper holder grab bar, but I've only had issues with all six of the screws provided with this one item; all screws for all other Delta items I've installed have been far shorter, less time under pressure from the screwdriver. Could be I got bad screws with this unit, but I have no interest in trying this again. If you have to have a Delta black grab bar, I'd suggest going with their Pivotal towel bar instead, and a severe diet.

Love my Delta brand contemporary 24 IN. X 1-1/4 IN. concealed screw ADA-compliant decorative grab bar in Matte black. I chose it because I figured if it's ADA -compliant it has to be heavy duty. And it was. It actually offers assistance for up to 500 lbs (Double the ADA requirement). Love the matte black finish as it makes it stand out. The installation was straightforward thanks to the good instructions sheet and wood screws that were included. It also features a snap over cover to conceal the screws and comes with a life time warranty to boot.

We installed this grab bar in our bathtub so that a friend of ours that has trouble getting out of a tub would have an easier time when she visits. It goes nicely with the hardware in our master bath even though it is black and most of the hardware is antique bronze. It seems to be very sturdy and should easily support the weight of just about anyone. It comes with everything you need to install it including a wall anchor. I installed it at an angle so that it would be convenient for people of different heights. Since the mounting holes are longer than the grab bar's published length of 24 inches it was possible to mount it at an angle and still attach it to two studs that were on 24 inch centers. The only minor problem is that it uses very long Phillips head screws and it takes so much force to drive them even with a pilot hole that one of them stripped. It would be better to have the screws equipped with a Torx drive or a #2 square drive which would be easier to drive without stripping.

Delta ADA compliant grab bar is very nice. Extra heavy duty and very strong with great looks. I used this one on my hot tub to help get in and out with but , know when I found out how heavy duty it really is I will be getting one for the shower and the by the toilet in my home. you seen the ones in public bathrooms this one is just as heavy or more strong as they are. VERY NICE.

I needed another grab bar for my scary attic stairway and this one works great. There has not been much innovation when it comes to grab bars, but Delta's unique design includes a wall anchor brace bar mechanism that is easy to install that ensures a stable and safe anchor when installing your grab bar onto wall board. That makes it my choice and recommendation when it is time to get grab bars in your home.

Extremely heavy duty. It can withstand up to 500 lbs, given that you hit wood studs. If you do not, I strongly recommend toggle bolts! Go ask a HD associate which toggle bolts they recommend. I'd still try to hit wood on AT LEAST one side. We installed this at the side of the toilet for an elderly lady and it gives me peace of mind knowing she can grab onto it and it'll never move. I wanted to take a picture of her restroom but she had personal things in there and it was a little messy. This is one of the thickest and heaviest duty grab bars I've installed, even thicker than some of the ones you see at commercial public restrooms

This grab bar is very well made and solid material. It has a great style and we love the matte black finish. Since we aren't in need of a grab bar quite yet we decided to use it as a towel rack because it matches the other accessories in our bathroom. This is a quality grab bar with a nice look. We are in the process of a three bathroom remodel that will get underway next week. I will be updating my review with more pictures at that time.

We got this grab bar to assist my wife in the bathroom, the fact that it is ADA compliant was very important to us when choosing a support bar. The bar it's self is very well made with sturdy bolt flanges and a bar that when grasped feels good in the hand and is not slippery. The bar comes with enough hardware for most any installation. It comes with mounting hardware for a sheetrock install on one end only, I can only guess this is part of the ADA compliancy. The bar is a quality piece and is competitively priced.

Simple to install making sure the screws are fully in the studs. Only took a few minutes to install after using my stud finder and marking the wall. I really like the covers so no screws are showing. Makes it easier for aging parents when they visit to have a bar to hold to. I opted to angle the bar to make sure it would be the most helpful and in the studs. Very sturdy and looks very nice.

This is a very nice product. It has a nice sturdy feel when holding on to when getting in or out of the tub. The bar comes with one heavy-duty wall anchor to be used for mounting one end on a wall in between studs with the other end being fastened to a stud with screws included. I installed the bar vertically to wall studs and did not need to use the wall anchor. 6 screws are provided to attach to wall studs. The installation instructions are easy to follow and the bar can be installed either vertically or horizontally or at an angle. The bar can be installed inside of a shower with tile walls according to the enclosed installation instructions and should be sealed with silicone. One thing I did notice was that if you are fastening to a wooden stud and happen to drill into a knot, you may have to drill a slightly larger hole in order turn the screws in.

The problem with most grab bars is they look like grab bars. This one is very stylish, yet still very sturdy. I was lucky enough to be able to install this into a stud, but it does has a system to just put into dry wall. I installed mine next to my tall toilet, between the two I am sure I will have minimal trouble getting on and off. I was a little concerned with the diameter of the bar itself, seemed a bit thick for someone with small hands. So I had my wife, who has small hands, check it out and her size 5 hands was able to grasp all the way around it. It says it has a 500 pound limit, I’m no where close to that, but it feels rock steady to me.

I got the Delta Contemporary 24 in. x 1-1/4 in. Concealed Screw ADA-Compliant Decorative Grab Bar in Matte Black as I have a couple in my shower all ready but they are old [ at least 15 years ] and for all I know they could be rusting at the mounts so rather then wait for them to fail it is better to have replacements waiting. Not to mention I have a stair way that only has a rail on one side that was put up over 15 years ago, So I know their may be more then 1 place I may need to use one of these. And their not as common in hardware stores to get one if you need one as many times they have to be ordered then you get to wait a few weeks for them to arrive. The 24 inch black grab bar is heavy so it must be made of real metal, but has no instructions in the box, just the basic pictures on the back of the box, on the box it says it is ADA compliant if mounted correctly, can support up to 500 lbs and has a limited lifetime warranty. zip tied to it is a little box of hardware. upon opening it you will find mounting hardware and a set of instructions in multiple languages with pictures all folded up into a little square. My only concern with this product is it does have a smooth flat finish that seems slippery when dry never mind wet and it is not textured to be able to grip. The surface coat seems to be anodized not painted. Its construction is vary solid.

For elderly people or others with injuries, support bars are extremely helpful items near the toilet. For the half-bath, I chose the Delta Contemporary 24 in. x 1-1/4 in. Concealed Screw Grab Bar in Matt Black. The bar is sturdy and very functional, and the concealed screw design and matt black finish is very aesthetic. The grab bar is designed for at least one of the supports to be anchored into a stud. If one of the mounting locations is not aligned with a stud, a mounting bracket is provided for sheet rock at least ½ inch thick. The instructions and graphics for mounting into sheet rock are not very intuitive, and I had to read them several times. It involves drilling a 1 inch hole in the sheet rock and using the provided anchor on the rear side. Once installed, the rear anchor does provide a much more sturdy support than simply using anchor screws in the sheet rock. For the strongest support system, I would suggest consumers first establish where the studs are located near the toilet, and then purchasing a grab bar that mounts into the studs on both ends. This Delta grab bar is ideal for houses 24 inch center studs.

For family members with limited mobility,a grab bar is essential for their safety and their confidence to remain independent. If anyone has difficulty moving up and down or standing , there are things that we can do to make our lives more comfortable. The bathroom has so many wet surfaces that can become dangerous so we installed a grab bar outside the shower door for my parents and recently installed this Delta contemporary 18 inch long grab bar next to the toilet. Installation was a breeze into the studs behind the drywall. (If you have a glass and tile bit, drilling into tile is easy as well but be sure to reduce your drill speed to lessen the chance of the tiles cracking.) The instruction booklet was lengthy but it covered everything that you'll need. There are plenty of Youtube videos to watch if you prefer. The Delta Contemporary grab bar came in a black matte and has a modern look; much nicer than the shiny silver institutional look of older grab bars. It's available in various lengths but the 18 inch one is perfect for us. Thank goodness this was an easy fix to help my parents remain independent as long as they can and I can be sure that they will be safe.

I am not sure which is better, The great look of the safety grab bar or the conveinence of the bar while entering and exiting the shower. Either way I could not be more pleased with this grab bar. I absoutly love the look it gave to my shower, very classy and strong look. Installing the grab bar was not difficult and the instructions were very good. I was somewhat cautious because drilling holes in my shower is a big deal to me, but, I followed the excellent directions and it came out beautifully. I installed the bar at a slight angle so that it would be conveinent for anyone. I really like the feel of the bar when stepping into the shower,(yes I am over 70) the 1 1/4 inch bar gives me a feeling of stability that really puts me at ease while entering and exiting the shower. When you get old one of your biggest fears is falling and this is just another helper to eliminate that fear. This was a great addition to my bathroom.

This Delta grab bar is heavy duty. This is matte black and is 18 inches by 1 ¼ inches. It has a concealed screw and is ADA compliant. Comes complete with instructions that are in English, French and Spanish. Great style and I love the ease of hanging onto. It has a limited Lifetime warranty and is made in China. We opted to install this at our back door from our garage into our home since there is two steps there. Helps with anyone who needs or wants some stability while going up the steps. Love it.

Stylish contemporary well made 18 inch grab bar. This is nicely constructed grab bar. We have installed similar bars in our bath rooms but also several where there is a one step change in floor level. I installed this one on a brick wall with tapcons. Part of the concern of installing grab bar is to be able to attach them to something solid- this can be difficult when studs are on 16 or 24 inch spacing. While I did not need it for isntallation on a brick wall this bar comes with a connector to attach one end onto drywall. It consists of a metal bar you put thru a drilled hole in the drywall and but a metal disk on the room side of the wall and attach one end of the grab bar- the other end of the grab bar would be secured with screws provided into a stud. .
