Flat and clear. Perfect size for a small space.

I am very happy with this floor protector. It is virtually invisible on my floor, and my chair moves on it flawlessly.

This mat came in a custom designed box that prevents damage. Mine is for a hard surface, so I just pulled it out of the box, but then had to dump the box upside down for the preparation instructions. If yours is a mat for a carpet I would suggest wearing protective gloves and dumping the box upside down to remove the mat and the instructions, which tell you to wear protective gloves. I like the size of this mat for my five-leg chair. It lays flat once it uncurls as described in the instructions. I almost rated ease of installation as good instead of excellent. I do not have heat in the building yet, and had a hard time finding a place where the mat would be warm enough to uncurl, but once it uncurled it is great. If necessary, the low-profile allows me to roll my chair off and back on the mat without a problem. This is much better than my old mat. I also remember being conscious of a mat on carpet every time I stepped on it. This one does its job and I forget about it being there. This mat will protect my new vinyl plank floor from the chair wheel dents I have noticed in other vinyl plank floors.

This is installed under my husbands desk in the office in our home. It’s not large enough to earn more than a 2 star rating and the shape is a little odd. It has no additions that would make it stay on the rug without slipping, but we have it under the desk legs so it will by ok for us. Don’t buy this to install on top of carpeting as it’s perfectly smooth on the bottom.

This Dimex Evolve chair mat is the first one I've had since the last hard plastic one was thrown away several years ago. It is so much better than the old one. It is made of clear PVC with a smooth bottom for hard floors.The mat has a new plastic smell. It is shaped with a narrow area for under a desk and a wider rounded corner edge. The chair glides easily back and forth. The edges of the mat do not cause any problem for the chair to roll on or off of it. This mat is three by four feet in size made for hard floors. There is a large selection of other sizes and for carpeted floors.

This mat offers great protection to our hardwood floors! After all our hard work this Evolve mat made by Dimex will lengthen the life of the new laminate floors in the sewing room. It arrived rolled up but it was easy to lay a box or two on top and la voila! it was flattened the next day. It's a clear rectangular mat with a rounded lip that can be placed under a table or desk. It's made out of recycled materials and lays flat on the floor. At first I was concerned because it slipped and moved when I stepped on it, but once I put the chair on it, I didn't have that problem at all. This one is 36 X 48 but other sizes are 33X44, 39X52 and 42X56. Depending on the wheel base of your chair, you can find the size that's best for you.

My mat came rolled up, and needed to be flattened out so I put it down with the outside of the roll uppermost. Not sure which way up it should actually be used. I have tripped over the little lips that stick up at the back edge a few times, I am not sure that a lip is such a good idea…. One time the chair went off the edge and the lip prevented me from getting the chair back on. I dropped a small computer screw from my desk and found it had become embedded in the mat, possibly by running over it with the chair. I was able to unscrew it from the mat. It is very easy to find small dropped parts from the desk on the mat, compared to raw carpet. The mat does not have any studs in the underside to prevent it creeping about. It has now crept to the left and needs to be repositioned. Overall I think I would prefer to have some studs or ridges on the underside than a lip to prevent a chair from rolling off.

I'll start with the good: The size is great!! It's much larger than my old chair mat so one of the wheels of my office chair is not hanging off the back, which often happens the typical size chair mats. The edges are very thin so it's easy to roll you chair on and off. It's also truly clear so it doesn't draw attention to itself. Now for the not-so-good: It comes rolled up in a box!! Be prepared to place some heavy objects around the edges for at least 24 hours to get it to completely flatten out (see photo). Also, it moves very easily when there's no weight on it so be prepared to hold it in place with your foot while rolling your chair onto it. All in all, it's an above average chair mat that hopefully will hold up for a long time.

So nice to have a new, clean, transparent, slightly textured, somewhat grippy floor-saver! It’s replaced an old, stained, flat, slippery model. Why didn’t I do this sooner? The lip of this mat allows the chair to roll fully under the desk without leaving the mat; discourages inadvertent repositioning; and is just the right size for my home office. It also does NOT have an odor so common among pliable plastics and allows the beauty of the wood floor to show through. The product arrived rolled up in an 8” x 8” x 37” box. Counter rolling it, first from one end, then the other, straightened it nicely. Since there were no stickers identifying a top or bottom, it appeared either side would work; we placed it rolled-side down to encourage additional flattening. The manufacturer enclosed guidelines for handling the product (see photo).

If you have hardwood floors in your office - you need this! It's the perfect size for my office floor! Although the description indicates that this is a rectangular floor mat, it isn't. The attached picture shows that the square edges have been cut off and the four corners have a rounded edge. I should have gotten something like this years ago because the area on the floor under my chair is showing wear now. This mat should protect your floor and give you ease of movement in your desk chair! It's clear, so the good looks of your hardwood come right through and it's large enough to provide a good sized area of protection for your office. My desk chair has a 5 star wheel base and this mat was designed for chairs like this. If you price it at some of the office supply places, you'll be pleased with what you see. It came in a large flat box, so there was no problem putting it down and trying to eliminate curling edges. It's a winner and I wish I had one when we had the hardwood floor installed!

Its the perfect size for a small area and works well. However, it's been a few weeks and it's still slightly curled up a the edges despite using books to try to flatten it.

Floor mat arrived within estimated delivery time. Very hard to unroll and had to keep it anchored under heavy items for 2-3 days before I was able to put it to use because of the tight roll. But once flattened out it’s been great to use as a floor protector over hardwood flooring. Staying in play and my chair rolls easily over it. Very happy with my purchase.

Too slippery when stepping into - danger of falling. Wouldn't lay flat. Total failure for its purpose. Fearing others would be injured and no return allowed, I put it in the dumpster.

It does eventually relax and works as expected.

This mat is a good thickness and weight that is doesn't save under the pressure of a chair. Used on hard floor to protect it from the wheels on the chair. Hasn't cracked yet, but it is a lower volume item, not used every day. Would recommend for smaller spaces.

Love the mat. It has plenty of room to slide with chair.

Good quality, thick enough, clear plastic, nice rounded front.

The mat -- which you would want to be completely clear - comes rolled up and bound in packing tape -- and it also has a glued on label! So, once you carefully take off the label and tape, you are left with a marred, sticky surface that refuses to be cleaned off. I rolled it right back up and returned it to the store.

Great for rolling over but it moves all the time and requires adjusting all the time.

Great product that protects the hardwood floor. It takes a bit of effort to unroll and make it flat, but it is thick and tough and doesn't move around.

Just as advertised! Will last a good long time, very unobtrusive, low profile hardwood floor protection.
