This office chair mat is great! The new modern shape (39 in. x 52 in.) fits my home office desk/chair area perfectly. It is also designed for hard floors which is what I am using it on (a vinyl floor). It looks and feels very durable. It was delivered rolled up, but after unrolling it and laying it where I wanted it, it laid flat after a couple of hours. I did have to put a heavy box on one end, which was something the instructions suggested. My office chair rolls over it very easily.

I wouldn't get this item again. It looks nice and is just the right size for my L-shaped desk. However, It does not have any grip on the bottom side, so it slides with me when I push my chair in or out. I finally had to pin it under the legs of my desk (not an easy task). Also it took 2 full weeks for the material to flatten out from when it was shipped. This might not have been an issue had I removed it from the box when it arrived (as the instructions stated. But it arrived a full week ahead of schedule, and thus, I wasn't ready for it. Still it was at room temperature the whole time. It took several sessions with a hair dryer to flatten it out. The instruction in the box tell you to remove immediately, but if you don't open the box you won't know this.

This chair mat is just the right size for my smaller desk. None of the others I've had fit between the desk legs properly, which then requires either trimming or lifting the desk enough to slip the mat under. My home office is pretty small, and I have my file cabinet right at the side of my desk, so no need to move my chair very far, but it is nice to be able to move it without getting up to do so, like I have to without a mat. Nice design on this one. The only reason I didn't select "excellent" for ease of installation is that it comes curled in a box for shipping, and the smell of petroleum product is pretty strong at first. I put it upside down with weights on it when I first got it to help get the curl out. The smell will fade in time.

The "Evolve" clear office chair mat from the "Dimex Corporation" in West Virginia was delivered yesterday to my home in South Carolina. True to the advertising for this product, the mat was packaged rolled up which kept it safe and in good shape. Upon placing the mat under my office computer chair, the mat material unrolled very nice and "stayed put" where I placed it. Since I have light wood floors in my office, I am very glad to have received such a well-made mat that is protecting my floor from the continual motion that the rolling office chair does. Thank you very much to the Dimex Corporation for manufacturing a nice quality product!

This Office Chair Mat with Lip for Hard Floors is just what I needed. My chair now rolls easily onto and off of the matt. It does not have teeth on the underside so if used on carpet it will still perform great. But it will move/crawl around a bit during your movement with your chair and need occasional adjustments. The packaging came with unpacking instructions but they were inside of the box. I had to open the box before I could read the instructions, bad design! The instructions should have been on the outside of the box or package. The matt and box/packaging is all rolled up together and then the outer wrap of the package, (cardboard) is formed into a square shape, rectangular in length. It will take a while to figure out how to open the box with the instructions located in the box. You can not simply open it like a box of foil or open it at the end and let it slide out. It is all rolled up together.

They arent kidding when they say this is for hard floors only. I also want to add that there cannot be any type of bump or anything that is other than a hard flat floor. Mine ended up deforming because of a depression in the floor. Otherwise this works fantastic and sticks well to both wood floors and tile without moving under the chair that some mats tend to do.

I've wanted a chair mat for some time. The desk chair on the hard wood floor is not a good combination. This mat has done the trick. I can now sit at the desk and move around without having to worry about creating more problems. The mat came rolled up in the box but rolling it backwards will flatten it out with no trouble. It stays put without always having to be concerned if it has moved. This one is intended for bare floors but the company does offer mats for both short and long loop carpet. I would recommend it.

Shipped via national shipper, the mat comes rolled in a 12x12x50 inch box. Once removed from the box it needs to sit at least overnight to fully relax and flatten out. I was glad the mat did not have a funky plastic smell (and that's a good thing). The mat protects your hard finish flooring (wood, laminate, tile, etc.) but do not use on carpet as it will dent if a heavy chair stis in only one position for a long while. Color is clear, nice textured finish.

I just bought a house with nice hardwood floors and didn't want to scuff up the floors in my office, so this chair mat has fit the bill perfectly. It unrolled flat in about 2 days from being rolled up during shipping, but otherwise is pretty nice. It has stayed put and now moved around when I move back and forth on my chair. It will service its purpose of protecting the floors from my rolling chair. I would buy another one of these without hesitation.

I got his mat to protect an area of my hardwood floor that already was showing some wear. I wanted to protect it from further damage and was hoping it could also mask some of the damage. I wish I has done this sooner, but as they say, better late than never. And while it would have been best if to have this mat before the hardwood floor showed signs of wear, scuffs etc, now the mat will prevent further damage. The mat does two things well: it’s currently covering a small patch of hardwood floor damage underneath the protected 39inch by 52inch area. But an added bonus is the smoky look of the mat (it’s not clear like glass) so it actually is helping to hide and disguise scratches and wear! Not totally, but certainly better than without the mat. Placement is easy. The surface of the mat is smooth, allowing four and five-leg office chairs to roll easily back and forth. Actually, the chair moves a little faster than when on the bare floor so you may need to adjust how quickly you're accustomed to zipping along lol! Important note: The mat is shipped rolled up like a poster and once unrolled, starts to flatten. Easy enough. However, there is a very strong smell of plastic at first (I found it tough to take) so I kept the mat outside. After a week, the smell was gone and the mat is back inside protecting the floor.

Too thin and soft, not worth what i paid. My office chair still leaves indentations in the mat and through into the floor. I would return if i still had the box or do i need the box to return?

Anyone who has a home/office in the house knows that the chairs you use to work on bills, spread sheets, photo editing, or other chores in front of the computer for a while can do some serious damage to your carpet over time. Not long ago we had purchased an additional area rug to protect our house carpet, but now the new rug was beginning to wear. We tried the Office Chair Mat and it worked out great. No more wheel or chair leg marks in the rug and it will be well protected now for many years to come. Very affordable investment to protect your carpet.

I used this to put over laminated flooring down where I sit and use the computer and this office chair mat will prevent any marks from the chair wheels on my floor. I am very satisfied with this mat and it also looks good on the floor. I have gotten recommendations for this from friends that I know that have one for the same purpose and even had them for years and very satisfied. I highly recommend anyone getting one as it will protect your floors.

Came flat (so nothing needed to lay it flat). Fits well in front of a custom (with small knee space) desk. I wish I would have gotten this when the house was built as the computer chair is not 'nice' to the hardwood floors (until now)

We used a Chair mat in our previous home office but it was on carpet. Since our new home office has hardwoods I could not use our old chair mat but had not gotten around to purchasing a new one that would work on the hardwood. This mat has a nice appearance and the dimensions are big enough to accommodate the normal movement of the chair. I have no doubt it will protect our wood floor. Our only compliant is it is slick and moves on the floor if you walk aggressively onto it from the side. If you are seated in the chair of course it does not move. To me the mat should have a tacky side so that it would not slip across the smooth wood floor and that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

The size is nice for my wifes desk and mine, however it is not the same one that is advertised, or the picture. It has no lip around the front, is flat all the way around. They were shipped in a flat box (not rolled up as others do), but, one corner of the mat,on the back side was curled up. I used a heat gun and was able to rub it flat again.

We ordered 2 for the office in January and we absolutely love them!! They are virtually transparent and fit the area we needed covered perfectly. Great product!!

Perfect shape and size for our corner built-in desk (side units make traditional rectangle mats not work…corners hit cabinets). Curved edges are genius. Seems thick enough to protect wood floors well.

We returned this mat as we could not abide the smell, even after more than a week of airing out. We left it both outside and in the garage. We also bought the same brand mat of a different size from a another supplier and it exhibits the same smell. Unfortunate because it was the perfect size.
