Had it for 1 month so far all good

My compressor is new and the jury is still out, but so far I've been pretty satisfied with my purchase. Wasn't familiar with the brand and bit reluctant to blindly accept online reviews. It's been pressured up for about a week and haven't had any of the leaks that many other reviewers complained about. Once wired up the compressor started right up, ran very quiet, pressured up to about 170 psi in short order and shut off. I haven't used it for my sand blaster or vapor hone yet, but I'm confident that it will keep up with both fine. The drain valve is hard to access and didn't line up with the access port very well. Had to bend the handle on the valve to even get it open. In spite of the made in USA stickers, the unit appears to be a Frankenstien, assembled in the USA using parts made in the US and elsewhere. Regardless, it appears to be a decent piece of equipment, certainly adequate for my home shop. It doesn't come with a regulator so be sure to add that and any water traps and line filters you think you need.

Update to my Previous review of Sept 6, 2022. EMAX Management reached out to me to try and resolve the issues I had with my compressor. They ended up shipping me a NEW upgraded 7.5 HP Model at no cost . While most all manufacturers will have issues from time to time, Its nice to know EMAX is one company that goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied. Excellent Service !!! Thank You. Leaked oil and air from every fitting on day one. The plastic cooling fan on electric motor came loose and started grinding on the housing. The high pressure safety valve on the pressure switch/starter started popping off at 130 psi instead of the marked 200. 8 months later the starter switch relay smoked the switch contacts . Last month the main ac motor started blowing the main breaker from panel box do to a direct short inside the motor housing cause by a shorted start capacitor.

Super quiet and powerful. Seems like very good quality this far. Home Depot White Glove service though failed to deliver the unit in the building as described when purchased. The driver said he couldn’t handle it. He’s right he couldn’t by himself, but for the extra fee they should have sent a extra man.

Our previous compressor would struggle to supply consistent air pressure as required by our filling equipment, or else the production line would stop. We needed a compact enough machine with the right power to eliminate the line stoppages. The Emax 80 gallon fit that need. We have had zero line stoppages and the compressor has performed flawlessly. Definately the right tool for the job.

This is a nice compressor and builds up air quickly. The main reason I purchased this unit was for the noise level in the shop. This new compressor is just as loud as the old compressor and definitely not impressed with that feature.

Do a lot of sandblasting and this does an excellent job of pressure and is quiet. Do have the extended warranty so will see how well it holds up over the next few years.

This is the first heavy duty compressor I've purchased. I spent a lot of time researching compressors. I kept coming back to this EMAX, and I'm glad I did. I love how quiet it is!

This compressor was easy to install and use. It is economical and practical for my every day use in the shop.

This the largest, with the most output, of any compressor I have owned. Installation was pretty straight forward if you are familiar at all with electrical work. It runs quieter than my previous ones even without the silencer that is available. Pumps up from its baseline pressure to 165# in about 30 seconds or so even being attached to a couple of hundred feet of line throughout the shop. I have never had the auto drain feature before but I like it a lot. During operation I notice my filter/traps have less water in the lines than previously. Time will tell about durability, of course, but if fit and finish are any indication it should be a long lasting tool. I advise getting it delivered to the location you will be using it. I had it delivered to my local store and it was a real hassle loading and securing it to my trailer. It is, like most upright compressors, EXTREMELY top heavy. By having it delivered to the store and having to deal with hauling it to my shop cost me an unnecessary 3 hrs of my time. Be sure to read all the electrical requirements as this may not be suitable for some home/garage installations.

Failed twice in 5 months. loose Sealant in check valve and a bad motor.

It came ready to go, even had oil in the compressor. It is built like a tank, builds air quickly and is leak free. I am glad Home Depot offered free shipping to the shop, so we could use the towmotor, as this machine is very heavy. I recommend it!!

I am very impressed with this air compressor. It runs very quietly & pumps up fast. Possibly the last air compressor I will ever need. It also arrived earlier than anticipated.

After working in shops for 40 years with loud compressors, this E-max is amazing, with its "Whisper" silent air technology.

Very well made compressor, quiet and American made. Highly recommend for home, small shop use. Large tank and built in tank drain comes in handy.

Replaced an old IR brand compressor. Night and day difference! Can't believe how quiet it is. Unlimited air for all my applications.

Getting started into sand blasting and powder coating. Read great reviews about the Emax compressors. After receiving the compressor called and asked a couple questions. They actually answered the phone and were extremely helpful. Have run the compressor a few time now and was a lot more quiet than I thought it was going to be. Especially compared to my oil less compressor that I was using. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

I am very pleased with the compressor. I can not believe how quiet this compressor is compared to the old one it replaced. I have 2 that we used to run 1 on one day and the other the next day. We can now run only the new compressor and keep the other as a backup. When I searched for and checked prices I thought then, and still think this compressor was a great buy!

I have the 80 gallon, 10 hp whisper quiet compressor. Super quiet and plenty of power, great investment. I love that it’s built in the USA, best on the market.
