Product Overview

  • Oil-removal filter traps 99.9 percent of all oils
  • Supports applications that require oil-free, moisture-free air
  • Quarter-turn drain makes maintenance easier
This Campbell Hausfeld air cleaner/dryer system cleans air and removes water vapor at the point of use to help support applications that require oil-free, moisture-free air, such as spray painting. Two separate systems condition the air. An oil-removal filter traps 99.9% of all oil aerosols, and a desiccant system removes water vapor. An outlet screen keeps desiccant particles from entering the airstream, protecting air tools. The desiccant changes color when it needs to be changed or recharged, providing an easily visible reminder. This system includes a quick-release bowl for easily viewing the fluid level and is protected against impact by metal guards. A quarter-turn drain makes maintenance easier.

Questions & Answers

Do you need to mount the unit upright or can it lay on its side?

Will this affect the quality of the drying?
Asked by: jon87
To adequately drain the water bowl I would just assume it requires a vertical position with the drain cock at the bottom. In my experience as an aircraft painter it is the only position I have seen them mounted in.

How often does it need to be manually drained?

We have a group of 9 Quick oil changes shops. How often does the air dryer need to be manually drained?
Asked by: Rick
Our company policy and manuals indicate a daily drain requirement as SOP (standard operational procedure),

If I buy the separate regulator/filter from CampbellHausfeld, will it or this unit come with the required brackets to connect them together?
Asked by: Chris
You can connect a regulator and other inline accessories. I had to buy additional brass fittings to screw into the filters to connect them all. I have an inline ball valve, water separator and regulator upstream from the desiccant dryer using standard npt brass nipples. Each of the other items had their own mounting brackets to go into the wall. All from Campbell-Hausfeld, so they lined up beautifully.

Is this directional?

Asked by: seanyboy
Yes it is directional and should be placed as far downstream in your air circuit as possible.
