I had a hole in my 1.5 inch plastic pipe...
I had a hole in my 1.5 inch plastic pipe for my garden pond waterfall. I cut the pipe to remove the hole and then inserted the splice. I used two hose clamps to hold the splice in place. No more leak!

I have 1 1/2" hoses to connect for my pool very loose fit. Tightened the clamp as tight as it will go without stripping, and still have leaks. Rather have the gray plastic, but they weren't available.
