This little copper jem was just perfect! Threaded at one end, sweat connection at the other how amazing is that!? Sure there are options, press fittings, crimp 'plastic' thingies, but a shiny piece of copper that even has it's own spot in the Periodic table of elements! WOW, makes me wanna sing,cry or both! And the bonus of getting to ? fire up a torch, melt a little solder & get some testosterone flowing,WOW. Not sure what this interaction looks like with estrogen, but I would love to see! That's all, gotta go take a cold shower now...

Easy to fix and cost efficient.

I’m an intermediate-level DIY and do a fair amount of home plumbing. I recently used this fitting for a bathroom project, and it worked very well. It seems well fabricated using quality copper and looks to be precision milled (see picture). The adapter fit snug on ½ copper pipe (see picture) and easily fastened tight to a mating copper adapter. It solders evenly and the shoulder nut is easy to grip with a wrench. It did the job for me, and I would recommend it.

Think (solder to threaded). This product can be used in pressure systems , AC, refrigeration potable water etc. MIPT, Male (Iron) Pipe Thread – a type of threaded end found on PVC or CPVC fittings where the outside of the fitting is threaded to facilitate connection with a female pipe threaded end (FPT).  My experience with this fitting was average, solder worked nicely threads are cut fair but make sure you use paste or teflon tape as required as the threads are a little rough. My biggest issue is the paper label sticker , hard to take off or is a mess when heat is applied when soldering. As fittings go this worked as expected decent quality and priced well.

This 1/2 x 1/2 MIP adapter is a common item and I'm sure there is undamaged one at the store. I ordered this to be delivered along with 5 other items. This adapter was put in a paper bag and shipped; No protection at all. As a result the male threads were so 'buggered up' (damaged) that I could not fix it. Now I have to physically go to the store and pick out one that is NOT damaged beyond repair.

Good adapter...great price. Service excellent.
