It works.

This is a really great little insurance policy. We filled it with gas and oil, hooked up the hoses (not included) and I am happy to say the 5.5 hp motor runs great starts very easy. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the connections were good could have been better. The specifications say that the motor pumps 9,000 gallons of water per hour. We had to rent a pump the last time we needed to pump out our swimming pool to replace the liner. We get a lot of snow and water on our pool during the winter/spring and it’s great to know we have our own now to pump it off. It is light enough for one person to move around.

Only had the pump about a week. So far, the it has worked like a champ draining water accumulated in the side yard. Started and continues to start with a single pull each time. The only knock is that I only get less than 2 hr run time on a tank of gas.

The Everbuilt 5 1/2 horse Utility Pump is well made and gave me no problems while in use. It starts easy and has a very high pumping rate (7920 GPH). It does not come with hoses, so you will have to buy them and the inlet hose needs to be reinforced. The pump has many different uses, but I used it to drain my pool, much faster than it has ever drained. It starts easy, whether warm or cold.

The speed at which this pump gets rid of water is amazing. Honestly ... I think that every home or business in that has a basement, should have one of these. It's very inexpensive insurance. My recommendation is to not wait until it needed because by that time, it might be too late. The damage from excess water could have already been done. This would make a great stocking-stuffer for the "hard to buy for man" (like me)!

The pump worked great to drain the water from my yard. Probably ran it total for 15 hours over three days. Pump comes with fittings for attaching bulk hose--Home Depot did not carry the hose nor did they carry the correct hose for the pickup line. Had to use PVC which was difficult to use.

Bought this pump it only lasted 25 days then started giving me a lot of problems took it off then put my old pump back on the well love my 20 year old Briggs and Stratton trash pump there not built like they use to be.

Pump works very well, it exceeded my expectations. Any novice can use it! Very easy to start and you get instant water. Needs good installation by someone experienced in pumps installation, afyothat it is a breeze operating the pump. Very happy with the results. Totally recommend this product! 5 stars

After several days of heavy rain, my front yard was flooded. This pump worked like a charm to move the water to a better location.

Great little gas operated 5.5 hp motor, runs great starts very easy. All connections were good, could have been better in the thread department (they weren't cut deep enough) but it worked fine. This motor pumps 9,000 gallons of water per hour. It will pump out a swimming pool in no time. I used this to pump water out of my back yard into the ditch, it did a wonderful job. It is light enough to move around easily.
