These do not self close a wood gate, if you try to tighten the spring it just releases and you have to try again, you can never get it where it will actually close the gate, it can't even move the gate a little. Total waste of money, these are going back.

just purchased but cant seem to figure out how to adjust the tension. The instructions are beyond useless and the on line instructions are just a repeat of the same as on the package. Where does the retaining pin go? I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out but not this apparently. I will have to return these and find another solution.

They look good, and they're easy to install. However, the bolts snap (three per pair) when I went back to re-torque. I don't torque excessively as I am well versed in household work and fine model crafting. Just cheap metal from Asia.

Same problem. Instructions don't explain how to adjust tension. They aren't self closing since I don't know how to adjust them.

The hinge seems fine, however, after I installed the hinge I wanted to adjust the spring tension on the hinge there were no instructions; only a worthless picture.
