Great Machine

Window Unit

We had a 25,000 btu that finally went on us, but because of the new window we had to opt to a smaller 18,000 btu. This new unit cools the same area the larger one did, but much faster and cooler.

So far this AC is just what the recipient needed. It is quiet; cuts off when target temp is reached; resumes automatically. Haven’t received an electric bill since installing, but hoping the efficiency of this AC will result in at least a small reduction. I do recommend it.

Lasted 13.5 Months and won't cool
Frigidaire(Electrolux) air conditioner lasted just past the 12 month warranty and manufacturer would not stand behind their product. This is not an inexpensive unit, and was not used for 8 of the 12 months of the warranty period here in the northeast. I don't buy extended warranties, but I guess I should re-evaluate that if ever buying a Frigidaire unit again.

Air conditioners
compressor went out a month after purchase. was told a tech. would be calling me for an appointment within 24 hours. Never happened. Called again now saying 3 to 5 business days. its 107 and hard to work inside without air.

Perfect replacement and right size

Works great and powerfully. Easy to control. Only minor detail is that you cannot seen the green lights which denote which mode it is on. Only way to see it is to get level with it and close up. Tricky when it’s at a height with table in front of it.
