Granules and slipage
We had these shingles put on our roof and they look great but the granules come off every time it rains. Just recently the shingles have started slipping or fallen off of the edges of the roof.

This picture is not the color of these shingles. The actual shingles appear LIGHT GREEN ON THE ROOF. And one bundle had BROWN SHINGLES in it. TERRIBLE, NIGHTMARE purchase!!!!!!!

Hello, we are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the color of your Royal Sovereign Shingles. It is difficult to reproduce the color clarity and actual color blends of these products online. Before selecting your color, we strongly recommend that you ask to see several full-size shingles. Keep in mind that to be used on the same roof, shingles must be the same color from the same manufacturing location. Each bundle of Royal Sovereign will have matching 6-digit codes found on the end of the bundle. Please give our technical team a call at 1-800-ROOF-411 if you have any questions. Sovereign 3-tab Shingles
I have a moderate sized house on a very wooded lot in very humid climate. I had a new roof installed with GAF Sovereign 3-tab shingles in 2004. They lasted beautifully, withstanding continuous impacts from falling branches and acorns. Algae growth and staining didn't begin to occur until around the 13th year and when cleaned, it remained clear for at least a year. Amazing given the environment the shingles were in. During the entire life of the shingles, there was no leaking. Due to these factors, I put the same shingles on in 2020 when I got the new roof.

Worked well on shed I was reroofing. Be careful and done cut too deep when removing plastic wrapper. I destroyed one of the shingles by pushing too hard and cutting it nearly in half.

3 tab shingle are easy to work with. No special alignment required to match 3d patterns, they are all flat. They adhered with in one day of exposure to the sun. I am very happy with this product.

A bit pricey but worth the extra cost. Lifetime Warranty, Consistent Color Range, Little Waste. Be sure the place you by these also stocks the shingles for your ridge. I had to drive to the other side of town to fill out my project needs. Poor Product Planning Home Depot!
