Makes our Home Look Great%21
I have never been a fan of driving up to our house because the roof always looked horrible. Since getting the roof done .... I LOVE IT%21 That%27s one of the first things everyone has mentioned when they come to the house now.

Poorly trimmed edges.
The installers were very courteous. However, there was a very jagged edge left after installation that we were told TWICE was perfectly normal.Also, the slope was raised. We were ALSO told this was perfectly NORMAL. Frankly, it was ugly and you could see it coming all the way down the street. We had to push them to do their job and return to trim the edges more neatly. Nothing was done about the raised slope. Not perfect, but at least it looks better. The whole thing left a bad taste in our mouths. Also, they didn't clean up the area where the roll off was placed and we found shingles left around the property.

My home looks beautiful.
The color of the shingles matches the trim of the house. The shingles are durable and will last for years to come. The added ridge vent really stands out and will add ventilation.

Problems
We bought our shingles in November 2009. The tar on the shingles did not seal and our house began leaking. My advice to people who purchase these shingles, make sure they seal one on top of the other. Our mistake was not taking care of the problem when it first started about 3 years ago. Please make sure your shingles are sealed one on top of the other after installation.

We’re sorry to hear of your experience. These shingles have a special thermal sealant that firmly bonds the shingles together after application when exposed to sun and warm temperatures. Shingles installed in fall or winter may not seal until the following spring. If shingles are damaged by winds before sealing or are not exposed to adequate surface temperatures, or if the self-sealant gets dirty, the shingles may never seal. Failure to seal under these circumstances results from the nature of self-sealing shingles, and is not a manufacturing defect. If shingles are to be applied during PROLONGED COLD periods or in areas where airborne dust or sand can be expected before sealing occurs, the shingles MUST be hand sealed.
