Perfect drop in replacement for my GE and Whirlpool whole house filters (double check the Whirlpool compatibility - one is close but not right; in my case this one was right).

Reasonably priced whole house sediment and taster and odor filter. We use these filleters on the cold water line to the kitchen sink. Filtering down to 5 microns to take sediment out of our well water and spiral wrapped carbon material to improve taste and remove odors. It is indicated it filers down to 5 microns but some confusion over filter life as opposed to useful life of the carbon material- suggests 700 gallons on carbon filtering- longer on sediment filtering. It is hard to find information on exactly what materials are used in these filters-surprised there are no indicated standards or testing like on food we eat- what these filters may add to the water we drink.

The order was shipped fast and received on good order. These are exactly what I needed and are good quality filters.

It does a great job with well water. Definitely lasts 3 months and no more.

Filters are not the dimensions shown on the computer. obviously they will fail much faster than they should. Store claims no one makes that size any more. In crime investigation, that would be called "bait and switch".

Filters are effective for 2 months with very hard well water with a water softener. They are often sold out & I wish Home Depot would order larger quantities

I change my filters biweekly. Unpleasant water odor is gone.

Changing my filters every 6 mos!

These filters work great for removing sediment and odor.
