Cannot reuse straw and applicator. Very messy. If you are not in need of the whole can, it is a true waste to just open for a smaller crack.

Expansion works well for most horizontal spaces, but didn't adhere...
Expansion works well for most horizontal spaces, but didn't adhere well in my vertical spaces and kept dropping out. The product has improved the nozzle by allowing at least a second usage, but still needs a little tweaking. Overall pleased because it helped.

Difficult to control this product as it is dispensed. So...
Difficult to control this product as it is dispensed. So I used the little valve on the end of the straw. When I tried to open the valve on the straw, the straw came off of the control valve on the can. So 90% of contents was wasted. I'll never buy again!

Waste of $7
Bought it yesterday morning from Kapolei HD. Use it briefly and overall seemed good. Now as of 3:32 AM HST, I can't even use it! Nozzle and straw end are gunked up! Waste of $7.

The product you purchased it the Home Depot exclusive with the Quick-Stop Straw, make sure the little yellow end on the straw didn't get clicked to the off position by accident.

one time use only
Once you use a can you need to use it up or loose the unused portion. There is no practical way to save it for a second time since all the flow paths will solidify in an hour or so. This is certainly not stated in the product description.

Hi Peter DG - This product potentially restartable for up to 4 weeks after first use. I follow the follow on the can: When finished spraying, firmly close tip. Window will show red, for "Stop". By clicking the Quick stop end to the stop position it creates a seal to prevent the material in the straw from curing. While it is restartable for up to four weeks, the restart not guaranteed.

First can worked well. Second can the applicator blocked and couldn't be cleared. At least 80% remains in can and is unusable

Great stuff. Works well and does what it says. Only drawback is that this seems like a one time use can. So cover all spaces you want filled in the first go around, otherwise the nozzle clogs and the directional pipe clogs with residual stuff.

A little messy but was able to press into gap...
A little messy but was able to press into gap and sand flat. Not so sure about the tube it is full and probably will not allow further use of the remaining sealant in the aerosol can.

While this works very well for sealing up cracks and holes, even large holes, it is a single use item. If you use it once and then try to use it again even just an hour or so later, you can forget it, everything is stopped up. I did thoroughly clean the tube and nozzle after first use, but still could not get a second use out of it despite the can being about 90% full. Other than that it is great.

You had the Great Stuff™ product with the Quick Stop straw. Per the directions, when finished spraying, firmly close tip. Window will show red, for "Stop". The product is restartable for up to four weeks. Restart not guaranteed. By removing the straw and cleaning it, that introduced air into the valve on the top of the can, The moisture in the air is what makes the product cure. Like it cured the remaining Great Stuff™ in the valve. If you use it again, leave the straw attached to the can and just click the tip to the off position, pulling back and you may be able to get it to restart within 4 weeks.

Terrible!
I filled a TINY crack with a 16oz can and it is gone. Nothing but air comes out. Can feels as full as it did when I bought it. If that is all the foam that comes in a can that size, it is highway robbery! Never would I buy this product again!

Great Stuff™ Insulating Foam Sealant will seal itself shut if left sitting after use. Your can had the Home Depot exclusive Quick Stop dispenser. When finished using, the Quick stop should clicked to the off position. This allows the can to be restarted up to 30 days later, but the restart is not guaranteed. It's better to plan ahead, identify, and list all possible applications before using the can.
