Tough wood
good door jam repair part, drill out old hole , drive these in flush with lots of glue, let set and redrill new hole

Small dowels do the job
The General Tools dowels did the job for me.I was assembling an IKEA dresser and broke som parts - I couldn’t remove and reuse the dowels in the new parts. The General Tols fluted dowels are direct replacements and am very pleased.

It is very good service to find it but I’m are turning it because wrong size. I’m looking for a smaller size I couldn’t find it. Regardless, my issue Homedepot is a wonderful place very convenient. Specially, the store at the rainbow and Charleston in Las Vegas.

These 1/4" dowel pins don't fit in 1/4" holes.
I've been using dowel pins in woodworking projects for some time and this is the first time I've encountered pins that don't fit in a corresponding sized hole. I returned them.

Fluted Dowels can never generate five stars. They are little plugs of wood turned out by the bazillions. These are very good little plugs of wood. And they are going to have to try very hard to be more.
