For the first week or so it seemed to worl all right, but then it suddenly started registering 100% moisture. The maintenance man's meter registered 48%.

Easy to set and view display as scanning against walls.

Unit seemed to be accurate. Downside was the battery compartment lid catch would open from the heel of my had so had to return it

Not accurate

This was exactly what we needed to pinpoint moisture. Works great.

Had a fridge water line leak and this was used to detect how much moisture was absorbed by the wall and cabinets. Worked well for that and was consistent. The one part about this is that the angle of the sensor is not as easy to use for some locations. Reading the frame of the cabinet deeper back is harder to place the sensor flat. Have to push hold because once the sensor is removed the display zeros out. Pushing hold while reaching into a recess while getting the sensor flat can be challenging in some cabinet areas. The meter the water damage company's used was a compact unit that was easily able to read into the more confined areas easier than this bulkier unit. His costed about 5X of this. For a home owner this meter is economical to use.

Very Happy with this device. It works exactly as stated, and will purchase a couple more for my other trucks.

The instruction do not accompany the tool. You must go online for information. This is ridiculous.

Very easy to use.

Kind of clumsy to handle, angled head is awkward in tight spaces, and hard to interpret when using on MDF. Whish it came with a set of instructions and the on-line help was better.

We had a water leak in the house and needed to know how bad the walls were. Used this all over the room, up and down walls, but didn't seem to get any reading worth looking into. Everything was held under .10. Either I'm reading it wrong or there's no moisture in the wall.

Purchased on 4-11-2020. Bought this because I have some white oak in a drying rack, and wanted to keep track of the drying process. I had some red oak in the basement I was going to use to make some stairs with. These were treads that I purchased and they had the price/UPC sticker on them. Not having much luck peeling the sticker and glue off, I used a damp rag to remove the glue. I thought this would be a good opportunity to use this gage. I checked an area away from the sticker. it checked 11%. checked several spots... all were 11-12%. Then I checked where the moisture was... 3% !!!!!! I checked the sheetrock wall... 0%... concrete floor... 100% This is going back to Home Depot. Don't waste you time OR money! VERY disappointed!! Too bad I can't rate it 0 star!

A good unit, appears to be quite accurate.Just a bit bulky but easy to handle and operate.

It just wasn't accurate

Had this for a couple of weeks now. Easy to set up and use. Terrific large display and the colored lights really help evaluate moisture status levels at different parts of the surface, with settings for walls, masonry, soft and hard wood. There is also an out-of range alarm feature. With this, I was able to determine that there was no moisture leak behind a wall in question. Also used it around the house to find one or two areas that needed caulking. Great tool at a great price.

Product seemed to function well

I'm a insurance adjuster and utilize the tool during water damage inspections. The simplistic operation and accurate measure of moisture for different materials appears to be correct. At this point I'm very pleased with the tool. I will be using the instrument way more than the general public, so only time will tell if it is durable.

Works well for measuring fire wood moisture. I just wish it would remember the last Mode setting so that I do not have to set it each time I turn it on.
